Absolutely wonderful food, service, atmosphere! The Chef was an absolute gem, he came out to speak with us during our meal. I would go back in a heartbeat if we were closer!

“An Evening in San Juan”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

I made a reservation on Open Table as we were cruising the E.Caribbean& San Juan was our first port.We did the 4course tasting menu. I had the white bean soup, risotto of lobster, queen red snapper& dessert was a chocolate concoction.Husband had popcorn shrimp, instead of white bean soup. With a tasting menu I was expecting small portions... not! The food was delicious,I felt like i was on the panel of the Next Iron Chef. Each course was presented elegantly with explanation of it's preparation. Chef Peter makes it a point to stop by each table. I thought the prices were not pricey for the quality & quanity of this fine dining establishment!

“Yes, it deserves #1”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

Our first trip to Marmalade, and it lived up to the hype. We took our first-time to San Juan friends, for a special evening and were not disappointed, totally fulfilled the sky high expectations.
We all did the four course fixed price, every element was scrumptious, and very unique. And yes, I will fore er fantasize over the butterscotch bread pudding.

“Crazy Good!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013 via mobile

Let me begin by saying that we are from NYC and have been to many top restaurants. Marmalade is an absolute delight. A parade of flavor and taste for your palette! I do not even know where to begin. Definitely get the tasting menu and depending on how many you are decide on the 4,5,or 6 tastings. It comes with wine pairings but this is a personal choice. Three of us thougt the wines were just too much and overkill. The food is extraordinary ! Standouts are the pop corn shrimp and the WHITE BEAN SOUP. To die for! The cocktails are an experience in and of themselves. Unique blends, artistic and simply out if this world. Highly recommend the "global warming" with chili pepper infused ice cube! Major. Devine. My brother in law loved his "jimmy Hendrix" you will never taste gin done this way. The decor is soho NYC meets morocco meets LA. Very cool. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. Special praise for our waiter, Danny! A great server. Sweet guy. And expect a visit to your table by the owner and chef. He is passionate about his menu and it shows. This is a must if you visit Puerto Rico. We are begging him to open in NYC !
