We stopped in during our cruise ship stop to try an 'original' Pina Colada. We've been to PR many times but had not previously stopped. We order some appetizers and Pina Coladas from the place they were discovered. Food was good, the service was fast and professional and the drinks lived up to their reputation. Tasty and strong. The prices were typical for the area and it was a nice quick interlude. We will return on our next trip to San Juan.

Had a few coupons from our hotel for a free Pina Colada so took a walk over. I was interested to see the place since I had initially wanted to come for dinner and their flamenco show, but our schedule did not allow for it. We stayed at the Sheraton OSJ and I have to admit it was a bit of a walk. Glad we did not do the dinner, because after some drinks I would not want to have to walk back to the hotel. And cabbing it would not be the best option either, since the street was closed down for construction when we were there.

But drinks were good - after our freebie we did buy another regular one. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat. (Ended up doing the flamenco show at Triana's and so glad we did! But that's another review.)

Stopped here for lunch after I saw it was the "birthplace of the Piña Colada", but mine didn't taste all that special I must say. Overpriced drinks and even more overpriced food, which was also quite bland. You can find more flavorful food & drinks for less money elsewhere in Old San Juan!

Extremely slow and inattentive service from beginning to end. The food was also quite bland and made from less than fresh seafood. The prices are very high, especially for the poor quality.

Anthony Bourdain may not have been happy that the birthplace of the Pina Colada served it's flagship drink out of a slushy machine, but let me tell you, it was by far the best Pina Colada I have ever tasted. I started my meal with a Pina Colada, and my advice to anyone else dining here would be to end your meal with it. It is so rich and very filling, but well worth every empty calorie! My husband and I sat at the bar and enjoyed Grouper Fritters for an appetizer. For our entree we shared the Paella for 2. The pan that came out was enough to feed 4! The Paella was delicious. We each enjoyed a Mojito with dinner which was strong yet refreshing. There was no room for dessert, but if I had to do it again, I would certainly save the Pina Colado for dessert! Enjoy!
