Our room had an awesome oceanfront view! I thought it was a very nice room and found the amenities to be fabulous. From the time we stepped out of the cab everyone at La Concha was so helpful and friendly. I thought the pools and beach were very nice as well. I enjoyed the lobby bar a few times and the casino as well. Every time we left La Concha we were always greeted with a welcome back! I would definitely go back to La Concha if Puerto Rico is my destination.

This was my second stay. I stayed at this property back in March, 2009. it's a great place to stay although I think since then the hotel has let the physical structure go a bit down and needs to start remodeling some areas such elevators, halls and main restaurant. The hotel has a convenient location in the Condado area close to shops and restaurants. It's a beach front hotel and each room is decorated in modern style, mostly all white colors and has ocean view. The service is always nice and the staff is friendly. I love the open lobby area. The pool area is nice too. This hotel is hang out for locals too. There is always something going on and has a lively atmosphere.

We chose this resort based on a recommendation from a friend, and we were not disappointed. It is in a great area of town - many restaurants, shops, bars etc within walking distance. The lobby alone was enough to let us know we had chosen a great place. It's gorgeous, large, and open to the elements. Very cool bar area that transforms into an area with a DJ in the evenings.
Our suite was beautiful with modern furnishings, a full kitchen with a sitting area and breakfast nook. The bathroom is large and the bedroom had plenty of room and a comfy bed. We had a city view... if you are a light sleeper this may not be for you. They really know how to have fun in PR, and the music went on well into the early morning! It didn't bother us, however.

The resort is directly on the ocean, with two infinity pools overlooking the beach – one of which is adults only. A nice perk! The pool areas are amazing, beautiful areas to sit during the day or in the evening with a cocktail listening to the band outside. If you need a little shade, grab one of the cabanas. No need to rent them, which was a surprise! It's first come, first serve, and they were a great respite from the sun after a bit of a burn the day before.

Are the drinks expensive? Yes. But it's a resort. If you're concerned about that, there are a few liquor stores within walking distance, and you can pick up your own beverages. Even better if you have a fridge in your room!

The concierge (Louise) was very helpful in recommending restaurants and making reservations. La Bodega Compostela is a wine/tapas restaurant that was recommended – great food, great service, extensive wine list. Casa Lola was also recommended – unfortunately we had horrible service here, and the food was just okay. We grabbed lunch next door to the resort one day at Di Parma – supercute place with great food and great service. We sat outside with a view of the park near the water. We had dinner at La Perla our last evening there – wonderful. The waitstaff was very attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was delicious. The inside of the restaurant is really beautiful. If available, request a seat by the window overlooking the water.

Our one and only complaint about the resort is the public restrooms. Both by the pools and in the lobby, they were just not what you would expect based on the quality of the rest of the resort. Many stalls were out of order, didn't have locking doors, and overall weren't terribly clean. So we just ran up to the room – a small sacrifice for an overall wonderful experience.

I would highly recommend staying at La Concha – for both couples and families!

Room Tip: AAA discount got us a suite for the same price as a regular room! Awesome upgrade...

The hotel was very clean and the service was top nice. Hotel personel was very friendly and helpful. The beachfront view was great, we stayed on the tenth floor. Try out the Parrot Club resturant in Old San Juan! I'd like to go back just to eat there again.

Cons: The food and drinks were pricey but overall a great place to stay!

Visited La Concha with my 4 children - 2 of which are over 18 , a 16 yo and 11 yo and my sister. Had a very relaxing time. Very nice concierge and bellmen. Enjoyed the pools, beach and pool restaurant. Many restaurants walking distance from hotel and Hertz right up the block where I rented a car for 2 days. Did do valet because it was a big car and if you self-park you run the risk of scraping sides on the circular driveway but small price to pay for having the car waiting for you. Older children enjoyed being able to go to the casino.
Breakfast buffet was pricey but I did take out and we ate it in room. 2 Buffets were enough for all of us.
Beach is right outside the door. No problem getting chairs for all of us. Water was beautiful - warm - choppy one day but it was a day after a tropical storm passed by and the next day there were hardly any waves.
