I visit San Juan often and to be honest, I'm not thrilled with the prospect of staying on the Isla Verde strip, I think it's tacky and yet for families, I guess it's convenient to have restaurants in walking distance, if you want overpriced tourist spots or fast food chains. Not for me. The Courtyard by Marriott-Miramar is near the bus route to Old San Juan and for adults who seek peace and quiet after a long day of touring, I say this is ideal. It's not a resort but it does have an outdoor pools and restaurants inside so there's enough to do here at night if a calm respite is what your after. I felt like a local here coming home to my private apt in the Miramar section. Sure, it's not a bad idea to rent a car but parking in Old San Juan is a hassle on weekend nights and cabs and buses are plentiful. The hotel will help arrange escorted daytrips to El Yunque Rainforest or the Camuy Caves for you. If your somewhat familiar with the "lay of the land" in San Juan, you see the value in this property. The only thing that wd enhance this property would be a complementary breakfast or room service but, you'd be smart to just head to Old San Juan to "La Bombanera" and enjoy breakfast at the counter with the locals and enjoy a Majjorca Pastry & a Cafe con Leche. Anyway, exhaust yourself touring all of PR and then collapse here at the CBM-Miramar. The staff will surely make you feel welcome. I got my room through a priceline bid and it was a great bet!!!

The Courtyard by Marriott San Juan Miramar was a nice hotel. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small. The parking fees were reasonable. There were no "resort fees". The staff was nice. There were coin washers & dryers in the basement, which was very handy. Internet was free. The business center was free to guests. The great thing about staying here was that it was a short walk to local stores--grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, etc.

We stayed here for 3 days prior to cruise. Your staff member Wilfredo was one of the nicest and most welcoming people i have ever met. He helped us coming to san Juan early because of a massive snowstorm in the northeast and not ever seeing each other before, he knew me by my voice the next morning!!!! He is an asset to your company. The only dissppointment was Augustos, we had dinner there the night before we left. The host seemed very distant and catered to the regulars of the resturant and left us sitting for long periods of time while other diners where hovered over. We left feeling we did not belong in taht resturant. Other than that it was pleasant, we always stay with marriot when we travel Denise and Glenn

Although the staff are friendly and professional, the hotel is disappointing. From the paper thin walls (we could hear a regular conversation from our neighbors), to the lack of hot water and a broken coffee pot handle that wasn't evident until you picked it up and it spilled everywhere. Our stay was a disaster.

We stayed here for one night prior to boarding our ship for a southern caribbean cruise. There were not many places to eat within walking distance of this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. We asked for late check out and were given until 1:00 PM which helped. We hung out in the lobby for about an hour until we took a cab to board the ship. We went down for a late breakfast at the hotel restaurant. We had a long wait (for two of us), sat forever before we got any coffee let alone a menu, finally placed our order and it never came. The hostess stopped by the see if we enjoyed our meal and was upset when we told her we had not even received it. The breakfast food was tasty but we should have ordered lunch!
