We enjoyed our night tour with Debbie, great timing at 6pm right before dinner. She walks fast, so bring comfy shoes, and ask questions which she is happy to answer. Very knowledgeable on the city and territory history with the US, interesting facts and stories. Quick way to see a large area in old San Juan in a short time! Arrive on time, or Debbie and the rest of the participants will be upset- rightfully so!

My husband and I originally booked the Buenos Dias San Juan tour and were informed the day before that there weren't enough registrants and that we could reschedule or get a refund. We chose to do the evening tour instead and really enjoyed the experience.
Debbie was amazing. She is very enthusiastic about San Juan and about her heritage and it shows. She made sure that we all got the full experience (even went over the 2 hours by about 40 minutes!) and also that we all got on our way in the right direction. - she even walked us to the restaurant where we wanted to have dinner!
We would've preferred the day tour but have absolutely zero complaints about the Night Tales tour.

This is the second time we have used Legends of Puerto Rico for a tour following our cruise. She customized a tour so we could enjoy some time on the beach and a great lunch at a local restaurant. Everything she promised us as we sadly said goodbye to the Caribbean to the great white north of Canada!

I found this tour on line with a ghost walk search. The Legends tour is misleading when it is the first tour to come up under that search. It also has a picture of the Ghost Hunters International on their web front page. I set out to specifically book a ghost walk and that is not what this is.
Debbie is a wonderful tour guide with much enthusiasm but my daughter and I were disappointed as this was not the tour we sought.
The Legends tour is misleading those who seek a ghost tour. Disappointing.

Thank you SharolT for writting a review on TripAdvisor.

We copied the Night Tales in Old San Juan tour description from our website to show that it not does mention it is a ghost tour; therefore, we are not providing misleading information.

The TV show "Ghost Hunters International", many travel journalists and other TV shows consult us for the history in Old San Juan and Puerto Rico. We listed the shows with video one line and links to the travel articles at each tour webpage.

NIGHT TALES IN OLD SAN JUAN TOUR DESCRIPTION COPIED FROM OUR WEBSITE:

"Your Puerto Rican tour guide will narrate historical facts inside the Fortress City of Puerto Rico, about the four world heritage sites, hear night-time tales of legends and tragic love stories and be guided through exterior and interior historical sites as your guide has exclusive access during your Old San Juan guided night tour.

The “Night Tales in Old San Juan” guided walking tour includes visits to a former city jail, barracks, residential areas, the sites where Hollywood movies & TV shows filmed and more. This tour will get you acquainted with Old San Juan's culture and landscape."

We learned about Debbie and her wonderful tours from a family member, who enjoyed immensely her previously on a trip 2 years ago. I must admit, I was a little bit skeptical of taking a historic walking tour for a city area that was a small as Old San Juan. Well, I could not have been more wrong in my assumption!

Debbie has a very deep amount of knowledge and experiences within her city, and clearly is a student of its history and culture. She is easy to understand and has an enthusiastic and genuine delivery of Old San Juan's history, architecture, cultural uniqueness and place in history. She is a student of her craft and even enhances her tour lectures with photos and diagrams she carries along with her on her iPad. That alone was impressive!

If you want a "canned" and scripted tour like any other--this tour is not for you. However, if you want an experience that even impressed my wife, who is a "puertorriquena" and learned from Debbie many things about her homeland, then you need to have this wonderful experience. Debbie is attentive, punctual and efficient, and will even find ways to enhance her tour, such as an unscheduled stop in a historically renovated and gorgeous Old San Juan home. Oh, and one more thing--my kids are thirteen and ten and were with us on the walking tour. Even they remained largely engaged and enthused by what they saw and heard from Debbie. Never thought that would be the case!

Lastly, one piece of advice--if you take the tour, bring a lot of cash, because you will want to give her a generous tip!
