I'm not a huge "custom cocktail" guy, but this place does it right.

We wanted mojitos and were presented with 3 different types of mojitos, 1 rum, 1 gin and 1 bourbon.

WOW, the gin mojito was so good we all ordered a second drink.

(we didn't eat here)

Wonderful restaurant hidden within a bar. Do not miss it! You walk past the vibrant front room of La Factoria bar and through a wooden door to Vino. It's a completely different vibe. The space perfectly utilizes it's old San Juan style to dedicate itself to the love of Bacchus. The selection of wine is excellent and varied. The wine cocktails are original and worthy tributes to the celebration of Dionysus. But it isn't just the drink selection that makes this place a gem. The food is delicious! A diverse and apparently changing menu of tapas is offered. Try the fried goat cheese with honey, bacon wrapped dates, pork empanadas and fish tacos. We had almost everything on the menu (we went back after our first visit) and were never disappointed. If you have trouble choosing just ask Franco, he won't lead you astray. His customer service makes you feel you're long lost friends and he remembers exactly what you like. Go on the early side to get a seat at the bar. The far corner was our favorite to people watch and talk to the locals/staff. The place gets very lively as the weekend night progresses.

At first you don't know what to expect with the bar but once you go behind the wood doors, you enter the Factoría Wine Bar and it is ALL worth it. Misa, the artist bartender, and Franco, bar manager, just makes your expierience and therefore your cocktails an EXPIERIENCE. Please just trust his recommendations we had the Get Lucky cocktail, Louis Latour Pinot Noir Wine and Burger Sliders (just delicious) and his converstaion and expertise made this an awesome experience. I would recommend this spot to anyone that likes a cool atmosphere that makes you feel like you're into a secret cool spot in San Juan. If you are in San Juan it's a must DO!

A hidden wine bar with excellent tapas- we liked it so much we went back the next night! Fish tacos, beef eggrolls, shrimp stuffed mushrooms, and sausage in a port wine sauce were all excellent. Good selection of wines by the glass as well as cocktails. We were the only ones there the first evening, but the second evening was quite lively. Highly recommended.

My husband (then fiance) and I had first visited La Factoria in June 2013 when it was just the front room, and fell in love with the decor, vibe and service. We were told by one of the owners that the place was expanding and by the following year they would have a wine bar and private space. We booked the private space as a sort of planned after party for our wedding. It went off great - our folks were given wristbands so that the bartenders could put their drinks on our tab (the space was free in exchange for a bar minimum) and we had their DELICIOUS tapas circulating the area. The biggest hit was their fried goat cheese balls in a lavendar infused honey, but guests also loved the pork empanadas, salmon toasts and egg rolls. It was nice that we could roam the bars, but the bar does get packed, so it was great that we had our own space for a little breathing room too. Franco was amazing to work with, and Irwin our waiter was so helpful and hardworking. Loved it!
