“Great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

Excellent service and fantastic food but you will pay for it. They gave us numerous free appetizers and we were really full by the time we got our main entree, but the food was so good we ate that also.

“Classic Italian”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

Don't be surprised when all of a sudden you are brought Bruschetta and (Perfect) Parmigiano Reggiano to start the meal. No, you didn't order it, but they bring it anyway. It's just their thing.

The pasta is fresh (and I believe home made), served al dente and with a delicious if mild sauce (Gravy if you're from the Bronx). Being from NY, I'm used to a more robust sauce, and that is my only complain, but all in all a good experience.

The wine list is tremendous and the recommended wine was excellent. I would go there again, but don't expect a typical NY Italian.

“IL MULINO, JUST PLAIN IL”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

My wife and I were extremely disappointed in the food at this acclaimed restaurant. Garlic and salt dominated the appetizers and entrees. The service was good though. Definately not worth the money. I cant believe people raved about this place. This place does not represent Italian food well at all. Better off at Olive Garden.

“Very good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

There are three restaurants at the Ritz Carlton and every single one of them is very expensive. If you are only staying for a few days, you have to add cabfare of $21 each way to any other restaurant. So, you might as well stay at eat at Il Mulino. None of the restaurants at the hotel have any Puerto Rican flavor. Very good food. Excellent eggplant roulades. Great service. We didn't eat much and the bill was $175. People didn't seem to mind. There were several couples with 3 or 4 kids. I couldn't imagine the bill. However, they do have a bar menu that had some tasty items so if you're not terribly hungery, this might be an option.

“Best Tapas Happy Hour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

Ate twice at this restaurant while I stayed at the hotel that houses it, The Ritz. They have a happy hour where items on their appetizer menu are offered for only $5 bucks. I could not believe that you could find such a deal at the Ritz. This deal is definitely one that should not be missed. We tried the meatballs, mussels, ravioli, eggplant parm and all were top quality, excellent. Great customer service from the bartender who serves you.
