By far, this amazing culinary experience was the highlight of our entire trip to PR. We enjoyed it so much we came here for two dinners in our 5 night stay and actually said after we tried a few other places that we should have eaten here all 5 nights. This place will not disappoint if you are used to high end restaurants. The service is outstanding. The staff are very well trained and appropriately formal yet comfortable. What we liked most here and didn't get at some of the other places is that none of the servers rushed us. Even when it got crowded, you can sit and just eat and talk and relax. We tried the tasting menu and were blown away. From the house distilled water to the homemade breads to the raw tuna with octopus and mozzarella appetizer to the risotto with cuttlefish squid ink to the crispy duck entree, every dish is a sophisticated performance of unexpected flavors that are perfectly synchronized and yet never too rich. We tried to go back a few night later and get the duck again but the menu was changed every few days, which is a good thing for the regulars. We also tried a seafood soup made without cream or milk. It was divine. The wait staff were all very knowledgable about every dish and were able to accommodate our food allergies. I would add the people watching was great and it's only a short cab ride from the Ritz. We would only come back to PR to eat here again.
