Staying next door at La Concha, we came upon this place on a Sunday. Our bartender, and later waiter, named Boston made our time there so enjoyable we stayed most of the day. The brunch was really nice. Roast pork w/ chimichurri, an omelet station, some dumplings filled with fish and in a cream sauce spiked w/ capers, perfectly fresh fruit.....plus an inviting staff. Later, jazz quartet...as you sit right at the beach in a lovely, new soft contemporary setting looking at that ocean. We'll be back. Oh, yes, we will.

We went for the sunday brunch and my wife loved it, it is an all you can eat type of offer that includes even your valet parking. The second level has air and beautifull views of the beach and the ocean. Great experience.

We didn't have a reservation and the place was booked! The hostess Paola was so sweet, she managed to find us a great table right on the water! She also recommended the salsa and chatted us up to make sure we were happy while we waited for our table! Our server Elizabeth was knowledgable and genuine! We ordered everything she recommended and it was delicious!!! She went above the standard small talk and took the time to get to know us. I was so impressed with the quality of service and personality of these two ladies!

So there are not many open air-facing ocean in this side of Condado---even the three big hotels on the strip (Condado Plaza, La Concha or Marriott) have a beach side bar for non guests. Sure, you can have a pricey meal at Picayo at the Condado Plaza second floor, or the restaurant in the conch at La Concha. I'm more interested in walking off the street at 1 and having a leisurely 2 hr lunch with friends. On the waterside. Oceano is for us. Great creative presentations and awesome drinks. Stop by on Tuesday nights for salsa lessons!
Perhaps pricey as South Beach pricey can be....but try the yucca encrusted fried calamari---you can make a meal off the appetizer menu! And then go down the stairs, take your shoes off and walk on the beach!!!!
