“As good as the reviews say”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

No need to adjust your expectations, the food is as good as the reviews indicate. The staff is attentive and friendly. Resturant is clean and nicely decorated. Entrees are in the $15 to $20 dollar range. Personally I would rather spend a little more on good food rather than get a cheaper medicore meal somewhere else. Definately seek out this little gem in the alley next to Starbucks.

“Wonderful Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

If you are a fan of Turkish, Eastern Mediterrenian food, than this is the place for you. The food is very good with extensive choices on the menu. There is seating both indoors and out with an attentive, friendly wait staff. The place tends to fill up, so plan accordingly. I ate there twice and everything was delicious.

“Wonderful Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

Had hummus and puffy pita bread one night and was delicious. Finished meal with Turkish coffee, Turkish tea and baklava. We appreciated the staff singing happy birthday and putting a candle in the baklava for our friend's birthday celebration. Very good service and friendly staff. Wonderful gift shop next door over.

“Great+. food at Ali Baba”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013

Near authentic Turkish food, toned down a bit. Ask for added garlic and cumin for more authentic flavor intensity. The food was complex, aromatic and very enjoyable, particularly the extra touches. For example, the appetizer portion of baba ghanouch (garlicy eggplant, and tahini) was served with a wonderful freshly baked puffy pita covered with aromatic nigella (kalonji) and sesame seeds.

The Ottoman Platter was served on a warmed metal plate with a delicious pilaf in the center, surrounded by lamb and/ or chicken chopped pieces in an elegant savory sauce. There were tender cooked mushroom bits and vegetables in the sauce. It was rich in olive oil and mellow spices. The portion was ample, particularly with an appetizer shared by two.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Outdoors seating is available. Don't miss this on a visit to Condado Beach. It is in an alleyway next to the Starbucks.

We returned a week later and enjoyed our meal just as much the second time!
