“Hidden Treasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

I am reluctant to write this review as it may make this restaurant too popular and make it more dificult to get a table, but I also want them to stay in business so it is there the next time.

Aces all for food, atmosphere and, service one of the best restaurnats along Ashford Ave.

If you like middle eastern food this is the place.

“Great Turkish cuisine, convenient location to the hotels”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

Hidden between two streets, this little hideout has indoor & outside seating. Lots of appetizer options served with generous loaf of lavash that is straight out of the oven. The eggplant dip appetizer was a nice change to standard hummus - needed a bit if salt but that's easy to fix. Main course was generous & tasty, & real Turkish coffee to finish.

“Good Turkish good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

Right across the street from the Marriott, tucked in behind the street. Ordered the hummas and the lamb shish kebab and was tasty. The server was attentive and the atmosphere good. Cool Turkish art and lamp store right outside, very cool. Would recommend and would return.

“But You Ate It”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

Superb food, to my surprise. The Doner Kebab made brilliant use of yogurt as a condiment; the Vegetarian Casserole is a triumph of dill (among other things). However, our meal started with a busboy bringing us a plate of baba ghanoush and baked zatar bread. We noticed him bringing it to the other new diners, too, so we figured it's an amuse bouche and dug in. When the check came, it included a $10 charge for the unordered baba ghanoush. When I protested, the waiter said, "But you ate it!" Sorry, Pal, but that trick is older than I am.

“Great value, delicious food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

For something different in Puerto Rico, I highly recommend Ali Baba. The food was delicious and at a reasonable price. My dining companions particularly loved the homemade hot sauces. The dips were also excellent -- hummus, baba ghanoush.
