Description: This place is temporarily closed.. Moist and buttery Mofongos with your choice of chicken, shrimp, churrasco or seafood. Taino Chicken in 3 Star Barrilito Rum or Creole Marinated Grilled Prime Pork Chop. Deep Fried Red Snapper, Fresh Salmon Fillet, Shrimp sautéed in your choice of sauces. These are only a few of the choices that will make the choosing difficult. And keep in mind that we serve the best Sangrias in old San Juan. Reaching back to the native Taino Indians, the Spanish conquerors and the African slaves, Inarú is inspired by and pays homage to the spirit and diversity of Puerto Rican women through our rich flavors, and each artisanal dish is prepared with skill and passion.

I got this place recommended by a local friend and it did not disappoint. We mainly went there to try the Mofongo. It was delicious. Mojitos were good as well. Service reasonable. If you are in Old San Juan, and you are craving Mofongo, this is the place to go.

Wow, where do I start....Chef Angie and her staff are incredibly friendly! The drink fusions are incredible, the sangrias amazing, the guava martini to die for. The empanadas and topping were so good. The ceviche fresh, the eggplant parm was light and tasty, our appetizer samplers were pure PR and yummy. Chef Angie was so engaging. She talked to us about the drinks that are all fresh, made of tropical fruits and created by her. Chef Angie gave us insight into the restaurant's name. I asked if she had t-shirts for sale, and she said she's currently working on that. The logo is beautiful. People, please bypass Raices and the other tourist traps and visit Inarú, you won't regret it!

While staying on the other side of San Juan, Puerto Rico we were all craving some local cuisine and decided to do a day trip to Old San Juan. Old San Juan was just lovely, the pastel colors on the buildings, the cobble stone streets and the quant shopping stores made for a great day. After doing some walking and a little shopping it was time for lunch and we came across this wonderful restaurant. Jaime, our waiter, was excellent and very helpful with great food recommendations. He was attentive and great at answering any question form us non Spanish speaking patrons. We all ordered something different and we sampled each dish and not one disappointed us, they all were delicious and the Sangria, red or white are a must have. On my next trip to PR, I will stay in Old San Juan and definitely eat here again.

I recently visited Inarú in old San Juan. It was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is great. The servers and bar tender are experienced professionals and make the experience at Inarú that much better. Juan, the server we had, knew how to please his customers. He offered very good advice on what food to try and was constantly making sure out experience was a fantastic one. I highly recommend asking for Juan. The real gem was the bartender, Mikey. He has 25 years of experience and makes the best drinks I've ever had. He knows how to mix drinks. He is very personable and loves to talk about his profession and show you how he makes his grade A drinks. Truly a professional. He has also received a peoples choice of Puerto Rico award for his Cucumber lemongrass mojito. It's a must try. Overall, the experience at this restaurant was great and I highly recommend it. Ask for Juan and visit Mikey at the bar. You won't regret it.

This is an amazing hidden treasure!!! It is next door to Raices which is the commercial spot but I assure this is the restaurant and bar to visit for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine!!! Pasteles, empanadas, flan and on and on. Besides the food the bar scene with Mikey the bartender is incredible! He is the best bartender we have ever encountered and my husband considers himself a bar connoisseur from NYC! It's a must visit!!!! Mikey has an amazing knowledge of alcohol and knows the best concoctions to make for your palette!!!!
