I have been to this place several times and hate to say they are racist but when u ask me to leave my bag outside the walkin humidor and then you follow me, i have no other option. I spent $80 on cigars but thats my last time visiting this place.

At first, the attention from the staff was horrible; they did not know anything truly about cigars. Their selection of cigars were huge and very diverse. However, all of the cigars I bought are dry, moldy, have holes and unravel very easily. Moreover, all have been sprayed with chemicals as pesticides and preservatives for import to the US. Even the cigar smoke burns your eyes and your pallet. The worst part was that most cigar shops allow you to return defective or un-smokable cigars, and all I got was an argument from the STAFF about how I must have damaged the cigars since their purchase. I never got a REFUND from those cigars. I have decided never to return and I DO NOT recommend this cigar shop to anyone who visits Puerto Rico.

ABSOLUTELY BAD EXPERIENCE ...Yes, there are plenty cigars. But they are mostly seconds that have been on the shelves of other cigar humidors maybe for years. They are dry, moldy, have holes from mites and unravel when you handle them. All have been sprayed with chemicals for import to the US and the residue can be seen on the outer leaves.
The cigar smoke burns your eyes and your pallet. Reputable cigar shops allow you to return defective or "clogged" un-smokable cigars. All I got was an argument about how I must have damaged the cigars since purchase. This is not good customer service policy and I will not go back again.
Even though I had my receipt for my purchase I was not given a refund on obviously bad cigars. I spoke to other clients on my cruise and found they had experienced more or less the same thing.
Worth mentioning, also... this place does not sell premium Puerto Rican cigars (all the rage these days) which is really odd since they are in San Juan, Puerto Rico. RIPPED OFF !!!
There should be some type of government consumer service agency that tourist can get relief through. The Cigar House cigars are just another third world horror story !

If you find yourself with some time to kill and enjoy a good cigar, look no further than the Cigar House. A full bar, AC and good wifi. The only rub is the way they have to unlock the humidor and follow you, like you are a thief. Not appealing. It the selection is tremendous. Very comfortable leather couches. Great place to relax and have a smoke.

Wow! My husband is a cigar guy and we've never been to such an impressive humidor. We didn't stay to smoke in the lounge, but looked very nice and comfortable. The staff was helpful. The selection incredible and he choose to buy some local cigars that were highly recommended. Definitely worth a stop in if cigars are your thing!

Location:
In one of the streets of old town San Juan. It may be hard to find parking if you drive. Make sure to park your car in a parking lot. You do not want to pay $150 fines for parking in the wrong area.

Place:
It was a big place with the first part being areas selling goods and the inside had around 10 tables and 6 couches with a bar. They have an extensive collection of cigars and alcohol. They have good lighting and ideal for talking. If you do not want to inhale second hand smoke, this is not your place to be.

Service:
The owners (lady and husband) were around the entire night and were willing to help. The barman and the staff were friendly. They can provide recommendations on cigars.
There were no Cuban cigars there yet.
They did not have a kitchen, but we were allowed to bring food from other places. We ordered a pizza for the table - no extra charge.

It was a nice place to relax, hang out with friends.

They are my favorite place in old San Juan. The lounge is done perfectly. Leather couches, three story covered atrium and great bar. They expanded the humidor tremendously. Had a great selection and my favorite la Gloria Cubano.

It has the same charm from ten years ago on my first visit. Same woman owner on site, always nice to see her.

It is the only t-shirt that I buy on each trip.

Came here with my dad, he's a big cigar fan. This place is amazing! All types of cigars, both local and foreign. They have a small lounge to smoke it as well

Great atmosphere and an amazing selection of the best cigars. Worth visiting by all cigar aficionados. Ask for Luis Fernandez who is quite knowledgeable and will not disappoint with his recommendations! Enjoy the perfect "puro" with a full bar.
