I am from L.A and I have been living in San Juan for 4 years. This is one of the greatest hidden gems! I am a food snob and I eat here at least once or twice a week. There are 2 restaurants that I always take friends visiting from out of town and they are Bocaddo Di Vino and Jose Enrique! The parking and location aren't the greatest but who cares when the food is great. This place has become popular in the last few months and has become the choice place for lunch of San Juan's power players. On the weekend's they have huge local lobster available. Try everything but one of my favorites is the Osso Bucco. Don't pass this one up!!

P.S. Don't be a tourist and go to Raices.

This place have a lots of options and everything is tasty. Nice, informal atmosphere; excellent service, valet parking. The pork belly confit and the thermidor lobster are to die for. You may also share different main entrees to have more tasting opportunities. They serve good portions for the price. Reservations recommended for dinner time. This is a caribbean cuisine restaurant not to be missed.

This place is one of the many hidden jewels in San Juan. The place is very inconspicuous, small, only a few tables, not fancy at all, but the food is delicious. A must try is the cochinillo (sucking pig roasted and deep fried) which is unique. The service is very pleasant, can be a bit slow at times as they are only two waiting on the customers. Victor always has a smile on his face and is very attentive. Have him suggest what you should try. You can't go wrong with the pulpo a la gallega or the sepias for appetizer and if you are really hungry try the osso buco.

This is a hidden place in Santurce, Calle Loiza area, Degetau Street to be more precise, which you wont believe. A locals hidden place that is. The parking is very good, vallet parking is always available. Don't bring your expectations for the location, nor the facility, but trust me you'll find fine people, dinning connosseurs, and a showcase at the parking lot of exotic cars. The food is exxxxxccceeeelllleeennntt, location awkward, service reasonable (need work), restauranteur knowledge null. You might expect better prices for the lack of luxury, but the quality of the food worth the price.

The chef is excellent, his kitchen awesome, the taste of his food outstanding, his "guisos" are one of the best you'll get. Someone in your table has to try the osso buco, and please return the knife you won't need it.

Now the need work section; the service
When you get wine served, you will feel like having a coke, you'll probably think that you told the waitress "fill it to the rim", no ice bucket at your table for the white wine, they'll keep it at the bar fridge, ufffff, no good. Don't think about asking to the waitress to switch something in your plate for a different alternative of the menu, if the osso buco come with rice, don't ask them to switch it to pasta, that is a different serving, you'll be charged for a side. And, at this level of food quality, and price, management should evaluate if that piece mealing is necessary. You want your customer back, not aggravated by a $2 or $3 minor charge, "peseteo".

This placed tucked away in the heart of barrio obrero has surprisingly 5 star menu choices and quality of food. From a slice with your knife Osobuco to the mos tender churrasco evrything was great. Dont forget the pulpo a la gallega and the home made brownies and ice cream.

The mercedes benz and porches parked outside should have been a clue!
