Description: Masafina features an innovative pizza concept, taking the eating experience to the next level by bringing local Puertorrican ingredients to the table. You may find a pizza with filet mignon and fried sweet plantains and mustard greens, or the well know pork "lechon"- flavored chicken with "arañitas" (shredded green plantains) with caramelized onions. For vegetarians there is pizza with the Puertorrican version of the Italian caponata or fresh fish pizza with batata or "sweet potato." This menu, paired with a wide selection of beers, including imported and domestic, as well as a complete wine list will give you a once in a lifetime opportunity to try the only Puertorrican pizza place in the Island. We are minutes away from the Condado and Viejo San Juan tourist areas. Free valet parking. Open Sunday 12pm-6pm, Tuesday-Thursday 11:30am-3:00pm and 6:00pm to 10:00pm, Friday 11:30am to 10:00pm, and Saturday 1:00pm to 10:00pm.

We were invited to Masafina by some local friends. It's a bit difficult to find, my GPS sent me in circles all the way around it but it was well worth taking the scenic route. It looks like a converted home and is painted bright red. Its at the intersection at Calle Las Pamas.
Free Valet parking, service was excellent, pizza's are flatbread style and come in 20 or so different gormet styles or you cam design your own. Nice;y decorated dining room and not very noisy. Pizza's were cooked to perfection, soup and salads were fresh tasting, restaurant is clean and presentable. Go check it out, worth the 5 min trip from The Condado area.

Some of the most innovative and best tasting pies you can find in PR, but so much more as well... Masafina offers a wide variety of thin-crusted pizzas that break away with the more commonplace ingredients. Their burger is awesome and my personal favorite is the tripleta (a traditional sandwich in PR, but with its own innovatie twist). Appetizers are also amazing. When you go ask for seasonal specials which compliment their normal menu. During Christmas check out their two holiday pizzas, one with pork and 'cuerito', the other with morcilla and carambola... Yummy!

We ate here during our first night in San Juan and thought the pizza was very good. We had the crab/bacon pizza - something we would have had a hard time finding back home. I recommend if you are staying in the Miramar district.

It's a pizza place, nice approach to pizza, thing crust bet a little hard. They is nice combinations but the flavor is missing. They have a good variety of artesian beers. If other place are crowded good option to go with friends. Valet parking.

Creative pizza with no flavor. The crust is good but the ingredients are absent. We had filet mignon pizza and we are still looking where it is...The cheese is vaca negra? I dont think so. I cant even taste it. I dont have problems to pay for having good food. But when the price is high and far from what you get I have a lot of problems.
