Description: Masafina features an innovative pizza concept, taking the eating experience to the next level by bringing local Puertorrican ingredients to the table. You may find a pizza with filet mignon and fried sweet plantains and mustard greens, or the well know pork "lechon"- flavored chicken with "arañitas" (shredded green plantains) with caramelized onions. For vegetarians there is pizza with the Puertorrican version of the Italian caponata or fresh fish pizza with batata or "sweet potato." This menu, paired with a wide selection of beers, including imported and domestic, as well as a complete wine list will give you a once in a lifetime opportunity to try the only Puertorrican pizza place in the Island. We are minutes away from the Condado and Viejo San Juan tourist areas. Free valet parking. Open Sunday 12pm-6pm, Tuesday-Thursday 11:30am-3:00pm and 6:00pm to 10:00pm, Friday 11:30am to 10:00pm, and Saturday 1:00pm to 10:00pm.

Mediocre food at very high prices. When they the pizza was nice and different. Nowdays, it happens what happen in most restaurants in PR: the food is mediocre and tasteless, the service is very slow and sloppy, and the music is too loud.

the ambience is nice. the crust is thin. but the pizza is just average thin crust pizza. there were kind enough to add a sunny side up egg to my pizza although it is not on the regular menu which gives them up a plus for service but the pepperoni pizza from the kids menu was really tough, had clearly been reheated.

Thanks for visiting us last week. Masafina's fuss is not just the ambiance and good service. It is about its concept which is making artisanal thin crust pizza with ingredients from the Puerto Rican cuisine. We stay away from traditional combinations, by bringing to the table different ingredients (spicy "longaniza" pork sausage, shredded fried plantains, caramelized onions, "pollochon," and Queso del Pais, among others). This, combined with the retro-modern space we created and great customer service, makes us special and different, thus the fuss. One final note, we never reheat pizzas. We make them from scratch at the moment they are ordered. We are sorry you feel it was reheated. We are happy you were satisfied with our service and hope to see you back soon.

Although I was skeptical, the pizza with crab, bacon, spinach, and an "alfredo sauce". was surprisingly good. Thin crusts combined with a light touch on all of the ingredients were tasty. Wouldn't recommend the red or white sangria, but the pizzas were good. Good service, free valet parking.

Pizza with special attention on local ingredients and being creative with the combinations. You can make your own pizza or you can order one of the specials or regular menu creations. The pizzas have a very thin and crunchy crust, ingredients are mixed good resulting in very good flavors, not overpowering. The desserts are very good as well. We are pizza fanatics and definetely this is a very good place!

Good beers, excellent service and the prices not bad at all. If you are looking for a small restaurant with good food, this is the place. Really close from old San Juan and Condado Area. What else do you want me to say? Just go and check it out for yourself. Nothing else to say..……
