“Restaurant and Bakery and lots more”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2012

Wonderful and gorgeous Spanish inspired pastries, great coffee, a bit more expensive than smaller bakeries, but worth the cost. They have all sorts of tapas also, Spanish products, Caldo Gallego, Cuban and Media Noche sandwiches . I would go there again and again. Nice setting for relaxing while you eat.

“The best Bakery in the San Juan area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2012

The flare is Spanish tapas, sandwiches, best wines by glass you can find. The sangria need to try it. One best soups caldo gallego and the seafood soup with the puertorrican tostones. wow!
The pastry is to die for! Need to as for expresso coffee. You need to go with time, the place is to relax, enjoy the food and have talk over breakfast or lunch.

“Tasca española-panadería cubana!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2012

La Ceiba itvs just, La Ceiba. Overpriced, but me entina place for several "Peñas". Usually you will fine food. What drives you there on an on is all the friends that gather, and share everything, there. Spanish and Cuban flare, excellent. Best Sandwiches around. Excellent wines by glass. Worth returning on and on. Sort of a masochism but in a very good way.
Try it!

“Great Food - slow service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2011

Food at this local true Spanish Bakery is outstanding! We visited this bakery for Breakfast and had to return for Lunch one day, and Dinner the next. There's a light fare menu on the left side of the establishment and a full menu at the right side where you can order and be served table side - but beware, service is SLOW and inattentive.

“Outstanding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2011

When we visit Puerto Rico, we eat breakfast at La Ceiba every day!! I have a hard time deciding between sandwiches or pastries because they both are so good! The Cuban and the Medianoche (sp?) are very good and are big enough to share. I love the mallorcas and the donuts. In my opinion, Puerto Rican donuts are better than Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme put together! The prices are good and the food is outstanding.
