This restaurant is the best restaurant in Puerto Rico and probably Caribbean . They thought in every point upscale people think. You arrive and valet parking plus security receive you and escort to the restaurants door. Then you feel like you entered a time tunnel going backt to Spain to lows 1900s. When you sit in that place the service and quality of food is awsom, they serve you like a king. This is the Jewel of San Juan. You never leave Puerto Rico without knowing Restaurante Casa De España.

“Beautiful dinner!!”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

We spent our 10 yr anniversary night for dinner here and it was great. The staff was attentive and the restaurant was small and charming and in a beautiful building. My husband had lamb shanks braised in a red wine and I had cod with green apple ali-oli. I enjoy every bit of mines and his.

“Fantastic Restaurant”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

We went to this restaurant on our 23rd Anniversary with our two children for dinner. Firstly, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It brings you in to a court yard that is reminiscent of a courtyard in Spain. It was so grand and lovely. This was the ideal location for a Annniversary dinner. The food was fantastic. We ordered the Tostones, which were the best we ever had. The paella was the main course and was flavored perfectly. They had a children;s menu and my kids had the steak and loved it. They were cooked perfectly. The deserts were home made and the freshest we had on the island. Don't miss this gem of a restaurant you wont be sorry. When I go back to Old San Juan, I will continue to go to this restaurant.

“It was like being back in Spain”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

What a wonderful dinner! So wonderful we went back the next night! The food, the service and the atmosphere was amazing. We visit Puerto Rico often and we will go back again and again. The octopus was amazing and I don't even like octopus...or I guess I never had it made this well before. Be sure and check this place out!

“Unmatched Consistency and Beautiful Historical Location”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

I am local professional and certified “restaurant addict”. The latter according to my wife and friends. I've been visiting this cozy restaurant almost every month for the past 2 years and never get tire of the menu. The service is unbeatable and the selection and quality of the "Spanish Tapas" and main courses is superb. Try the "Huevos Estrellados" as a tapa, and don't forget to order a bloody mary to stimulate your appetite for a wonderful culinary experience. The staff is extremely friendly and are always, always, always willing to accommodate any requests to modify a particular plate to satisfy the wishes of the client. The restaurant location will transport you to Old Spain. The site is located within a historical building (Spanish/Moorish architecture) known as Casa de España, built in 1932 originally for private and civic organizations composed of Spanish citizens and descendants living in Puerto Rico. ! Buen Provecho!
