Laurel is one of the best restaurants in PR.
It is a fusion of criollo and continental food
cooked with modern techniques. Service is excellent. The wine list is extensive with good prices.

I was in San Juan a few weeks ago, a place I've visited for decades, as I have many friends there. I was taken there by a local, and it was the best meal I've had in San Juan in almost 25 years when I went to Amadeus Restaurant in Old San Juan. Worth the trip, and although I ate there only this once, we ended up ordering many items on the menu as we wanted to share, and every course was perfection. Almost everything on the menu sounded interesting and delicious, and as is not always the case, each course lived up to its description. I will definitely be heading for more meals on future trips to the island.

After visiting this restaurant several times and ordering different dishes I can tell you that Chef
Mario Pagan is one of the top Chefs in our Island. Quality of food, preparation, flavor, presentation and service always met or went over my expectations. They have some regular
dishes, but offer new options depending of food market availability. My reccomendation: Try
anything, they all taste very good. Reservations reccomended, locals are aware of their quality
and sometimes the place is congested. It is located in the premises of the Art Museum, at the
lobby area.

While on our honeymoon in San Juan, my wife and I had lunch at Laurel Restaurant, which is located inside the Museo Arte Contemporaneo de Puerto Rico. It had been recommended to us by a family friend whose brother-in-law was the head chef and had competed in the Iron Chef America competition. We had several courses which included lamb meatballs in goat cheese, Chilean Sea Bass hor d'oeuvres, and one of the best steaks I have ever tasted. My wife ordered scallops, which I am normally not fond of, but they were amazing as well. It was a meal that I didn't want to get up from, even after the point at which I realized I couldn't eat another bite. Every course was wonderfully prepared, and the service was first-rate. Whenever we return to San Juan, I will be making reservations at Laurel!

Laurel is a very High end restaurant in the San Juan Are. Located at the Museum of Art, Valet Parking, Impecable service, superior ingredients, very good bar service, and excellent wine selection. Owned by Chef Mario Pagan, brings you top notch service, creative dinning, wonderful desserts...by far one of my top Choices in San Juan
