We were looking forward to some authentic Puerto Rican food when our ship reached Puerto Rico. Our tour guide indicated that he ate lunch at the Punto de Vista restaurant daily. Little did we know, he actually meant drank his lunch. The small restaurant was located only one block from the dock. It had a large outdoor seating area filled with young people. The inside had only three tables and had about eight waiters. At the counter was a person who carefully separated the mint leaves and placed them in a huge container. Everyone was happy and were ordering Mojitios left and right. Few ordered food. They have a small menu which had several varieties of tacos. The service was excellent as they had 8 bartenders making the mojitos as fast as they could. As it was near the docks, it serviced a rather young clientel. Unfortunate for us, we do not drink. If we did we probably would not have noticed the mediocre food we tasted. We did not eat much of the Arroz mamposteado nor the fried pork. The service was excellent, the music was good and for those who want a fantastic liquid lunch Punot de Vista aka "Mojitios Special" is the place for you. That is the last time I ask a tour guide where to eat, we should have used Trip Advisor.
