If you are cruising, or visiting the lovely pier area in Old San Juan, don't miss dining at Punto de Vista. This is place to eat outside, unless you enjoy loud music and "fonda" atmosphere. There is always a lively crowd waiting for tables, but the ambiance is very enjoyable and you can watch the cruise ships at their docks. The signature dish is "mofongo relleno"; a smashed plantain dish usually stuffed with pork, beef, or shrimp. The creamy garlic sauce on the side is to die for! Please note that Puertorican food, unlike Mexican, is not prepared hot or very spicy, just savory, so I recommend this dish to everybody. I highly recommend you give it a try.
