The family went to kayak at the bioluminescent bay. I had a bit of a head cold, so I stayed back home. Right next-door to our condo was a lovely looking restaurant called Niche, so I went there for a solo dinner. The lovely woman behind the bar, Donna, so I could sit anywhere, so I chose a place away from the air conditioner. The restaurant was lovely with a meandering entryway, and stairways to places that I have yet to discover. The menu had muscles and fries which I was very interested in, but I was told that it was a very large dish and I wasn't that hungry, so I just ordered a hamburger and fries and a glass of red wine. I was served an amuse bouche of cheese, shrimp, and a lovely tangy sauce that told me I was in for a treat if I came back for a full meal. Pinot Noir was lovely that I was served, and the hamburger was prepared as I requested - medium rare. The restaurant was not that busy, so Donna came and chatted with me and we had a lovely time. I am firmly convinced that whatever you eat at this restaurant is going to be wonderful. I hope I have an opportunity to return.
