Stayed here for 2 nights at the tail end of a San Juan Cruise. Overall good experience. The front desk were attentive and friendly. Originally we booked a Corner Suite with a Balcony in the main hotel, but as of 3:45 (after arriving from the cruise terminal and "pre registering" at 10am) the room was still not ready. They did allow for full use of the resort facilities until our room was ready. Because our room was still not ready, we moved to the Lagoon Villas. Overall was not hugely impressed with the Lagoon Villa facility. Halls were open air, so were very humid and a bit "smelly" with frequent large puddles on the floors and stairs. Was a fairly long and inconvenient walk to our room from the Main Lobby. The room itself was nice but not spectacular. Bathroom was large with a stand up separate shower, large tub, dual sinks and separate toilet area. Closet space is adequate. Carpet was old looking and stained. Bed was large, clean and comfortable. "Balcony" was almost non-existent. maybe 1 1/2 feet of space past the window/doors. One of our window/doors would not open at all. View of the Condado Lagoon was very nice, but could barely see the ocean or resort facilities as we had hoped when we booked our original room.
The outside area of the main hotel was great. Nice variety of pools, plenty of lounge chairs, hammocks, and a great private beach area.
Service overall was good, but one complaint would be the outside bar staff. Was there on a Sat and Sun, and it felt like you had to pull teeth to get service. The service was very slow and you had to essentially crawl over the bar to get their attention. We sat at the swim up bar, got a first round of drinks, and then sat for almost 45 minutes without anyone even coming over. Also virtually no waitress service at the beach or pool area. Only saw one the entire time.
Another issue I had with the resort was a lack of affordable food or drink options. Expect to pay $9 for a beer and $13 for a drink. Only time we ate was having an app and a burger at the bar. Food was average and HIGHLY overpriced.
No Wifi in the Villas is also a huge downside, although wired internet is provided.
Overall good experience but I would suggest staying in the main hotel to have better access to the pool/beach facilities which is the key attraction to the resort overall.
