Since we were staying at Doubletree we wanted to check out Under the Trees. The outdoor seating is wonderful. There is a fountain there and we chose to sit at a table with the bench seating with the cushions and pillows. Very relaxing and something we just don't get back home. I ordered a Sangria which was the best I had while in PR. My husband had a mojito, not the best we had (best was at Carli's in OSJ) but better than most of the others we tried, and we tried a lot! The menu had a lot of Italian fare and the food arriving at other tables smelled delicious. We were not ready for dinner yet, so we just got the Puerto Rican Sampler, with yuca bites, tostones, and bacalaoitos. All were delectable! Good service. Prices as expected for a hotel restaurant.

We've gone here two years in a row on our trip to PR... stayed at the Doubletree & had dinner here. We LOVE it. When the weather is that beautiful, you only want to be outdoors. This little restaurant offers the outdoors but in a protected, quiet environment - with hip music playing at a level where you can easily enjoy conversation. The service is friendly but not intrusive, and quick. We ordered the alfredo chicken - very tender chicken in a flavorful creamy sauce and served in a cool slanted bowl - and the mahi mahi ceviche over avocado - excellent blending of flavors, very fresh. It is expensive, but not overly for the quality of the food and service - a nice treat and for us, a sweet tradition. Thanks Ruben, for making sure we had a great experience.

Went with a bunch of friend for brunch. The service is great, the location is very nice. You can eat outside, which in a clear fresh day is a very nice meal. The serving of the food took a little bit more time than expected, but with friends on Sunday, time is not an issue. Recommended

They offer a very good variety of local flavors. The food is pricey, but it tasted good. The restaurant looks good. Try the beef skirt. Very good!

We were sated very close to another couple despite te restaurant being empty and only after we asked did they move us one able away.
The food was good we had puerto Rico starters which included fried fish yuca and plantain which were deep fried and came with 2 sauces overall nice. My wife had te baby back ribs and I had a Zt bone steak and both of s liked it.
Now comes the weird part:
*they didn't have many of the sides although it was only 8 PM
* the main course came in two gigantic plates which together were larger then the table
* the food was served in plain plastic dishes which don't exactly fit the restaurants total setting
* they don't have tooth picks?????

Paid over 100$ which is a bit on the expensive side
