I visited a long time ago, food was very good, I had the stuffed mofongo with steak was delicious, the guava and cheese bread pudding is great!!! They have live jazz on weekends I believe and the place is very relaxing with trees and little fish tanks at night I can hear the coqui. Really good place!

Awesome food!! Everything we had was great! Awesome atmosphere - outside seating only with the Coquis chirping in the background....beautiful! So glad we ate here!! Prices are average - $15-$20 per plate.

Four of us went to dinner at this restaurant and they were serving a table of approximately 20 when we arrived. While we waited for a server, another group of 20 came in. Our drinks finally came and the first group left. We waited at least a 1/2 hour before we could order because another large group came in. We were there for 3 hours because this restaurant caters to large tourist groups over its regular customers. 4 large groups came, ate and left before we had our dinner.

Hi Deb,

Groups of friends are the clients we enjoy serving the most, maybe that is why we are visited by so many!
It’s possible that during your visit some confusion arose and we apologize. I can assure you that it was an isolated case since we are used to handling several groups everyday.
I thank you for taking the time to let us know how we can continue to improve.
Thank you very much.

Paseo de Princesa was full of locals the Sunday we visited, hardly a tourist in sight. The cafe is the only sit-down place in the area (there are lots of food carts) and it's hard to know what to think it will be like despite the inviting appearance. Turns out to be a professional operation despite being fully outdoors including the kitchen. We loved it! The seating is like at a resort, proper tables covered only by an unobtrusive light screen and surrounded by foliage and a few torches. Just outside the gates older Puerto Ricans were playing music and dancing. The menu was pretty typically Puerto Rican but well executed. I highly recommend the paella. The prices were reasonable - careful, 15% gratuity included for parties of 4+, you might not expect that - we paid more for less elsewhere in town. The only comment is that service, while friendly, was slow.
