“Great Food Tour of San Juan”

We had a fantastic time on this tour. Rocio was a fun and knowledgeable guide. My husband and I have traveled extensively and this definitely hit the mark for a fun morning and a full belly.

“Fun 3 hours learning about food and history”
Reviewed January 11, 2014

After taking walking food tours in several cities, found this one on-line for our San Juan visit. Easy booking, but we never got email with meeting place. Called number (in NYC) and was given name of restaurant meeting place - but since much of Old San Juan works on limited street addresses, this was a bit confusing. Googled name of restaurant, and found general location - so it worked. Nice group of about 20 people. Food was interesting and generally good. Especially liked stop at coffee house and learning about PR coffee - returned to same place later to buy some to take home. If you have any mobility issues, be aware that Old San Juan is a hilly city with cobblestone, brick and assorted other uneven walking surfaces. Learned more about history of PR and San Juan on this trip than on other non-food adventures. Plenty of food - we went on tour at 4:30 and did not want dinner after.

“Great start to vacation!”
Reviewed January 10, 2014 via mobile

I love these types of walking tours! I went on the same type (food, history, architecture) in Quebec City last year and knew I wanted to do one in old San Juan. It may seem expensive, but I really feel it's worth the value! Lots of food, I was so stuffed afterwards. I loved being able to try several dishes and drinks at restaurants I may not have found. Our tour started 30 min late, our guide had car troubles, but the company communicated well and the tour went on! It was so much fun, book it, you won't regret.

Reviewed January 7, 2014

Imagine being transported to a breathtaking tropical paradise setting, atop a contemprary hotel with an amazing view and perfect breeze to take all your worries away! Well this cooking class does all that and more! Chef Kathy makes takes coocking to a new level. She teaches you how to make delicious Puerto Rican foods by breaking the recipes down into simple, fun, easy to do steps. Everyone participates and it is fun for all ages! You even get to make a delicious refreshing drink which makes the day ..... perfection. I would recommend this class to everyone! This class was taking atop the San Juan Beach and Water hotel on Isla Verde in Beautiful Puerto Rico!

“Great Experience!!!”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

This was a great tour and history lesson at an easy and really fun pace. Interaction with Rocia and the rest of the tour group was so much fun! The tour is historical, interactive, and you get more insight than through other tours. We even returned to several of the places the following days for more food! This tour is a MUST when visiting Old San Juan!!!
