Our family of five went on the flavors of San Juan tour. It was amazing. I was worried the kids might get bored or not enjoy the food but they loved it( ages 12, 9 and 5). Carmen was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful day.

A very enjoyable walking and tasting tour of Old San Juan in the early evening. Angel was very knowledgable about the sights and history of Old San Juan. The food was delicious! I didn't think at first that I would eat enough on this tour, happily, I was wrong. At the end of the tour, i had a "full belly and happy heart".

First and foremost, Shannon MADE this tour special and personal. She's knowledgeable, vivacious and genuinely passionate about where she lives and what she does. We couldn't have asked for a better guide to take us on our culinary adventure through Old San Juan! The food was authentic, diverse and delicious. The views were spectacular. The history was interesting and personalized. The reception at every restaurant or shop (and even on the street when she passed the wife of one of the restaurant owners) was warm and congenial. The pace was relaxed. We parted culturally enriched and pleasantly full of the tastes and sights of Old San Juan.

This is a three hour tour which satiates your palate, curiosity, and yearning for history and knowledge. Nadia our tour guide was amazing. Her passion for Puerto Rico, its people, its history, its culture, and its food were evident every step of the way. We were lucky that there were only two of us on a Thursday, and she aptly kept us entertained and curious. She had to put up with a myriad of questions from an attorney and a teacher and never wavered in keeping our interest and very ably answering all our questions. We imagined small tastings and tidbits of information. Boy were we wrong! Five food stops included two appetizer stops (omg the papa relleno and the ceviche...), a full main course of chicken mafongo—where one gets to mash one’s own Mofongo—that was superb, one of the best mojitos I’ve had, a dessert stop, and finishing at the world famous Cortes chocolate bar with a typical Puerto Rican hot chocolate. Could not have asked for a better selection of full-sized tastings for which Nadia was able to give us full background and explanation for each. Tours are offered at different times of day and differ their offerings accordingly. We had chosen the 5 pm but a morning breakfast tour sounds delicious too. This tour is best to do as soon as you arrive in San Juan and will help create your agenda and menu for the days that follow. We could not have asked for a better tour of a city we had visited before, but thanks to Nadia really got to know, love, and appreciate on this visit.

Can't recommend this tour highly enough! Angel was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about history and local Puerto Rican culture, and had some of the best cocktails in Old San Juan. Angel was gracious about answering all my questions. This tour would be a steal at twice the price.

My wife and I had Carmen to ourselves and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more! The real value of touring with someone who takes you in a storefront that looks like all the others but has unique and memorable food inside! Our favorites were the PR coffee and sandwich and the ceviche! Thanks for the awesome experience!!

Great guide. Four stars because some of the food was not so good, most was 4/5 in fact. Just that one and the popsicle in the middle was a little much. If I could do 4.5 I would.
