This Hotel has an amazing Beach view with a balcony that is amazing, Front office supervisor upgrade the view when we requested... rooms were very clean , beautiful !!, beds are comfortable , bathroom look very contemporary hotel , loved the Salt water pool, they also have a bar inside the pool, great music by the pool. they have a small beach access not my favorite but is okay... I had a massage by the pool, which was amazing , I paid 50 for 30 minutes.. money well spent!! parking fee is 18 dollars per day, be careful with the hammocks by the pool , i had a minor accident and one of the hammocks broke off and I fell off , thank God it was not serious injuries , metal object that held the hammock fell on my head. Security manager was very concern and helpful, front desk manager waive my 2 nights for the inconvinience. did not eat at the hotel because I spoke to other guest that were staying and did not recommend the food. I didnt try it. went to eat at local bakery and at a nice restaurant near by " El Camaron" hightly recommended... overall great hotel!!

Took my girlfriend here for a 4 night, long weekend. Admittedly, we weren't in the hotel too often, as we were out and about exploring awesome PR. but when we were there, it was a great experience. The hotel has a great location, within walking distance to tons of food and bars. You can walk to Old San Juan, if you want, but it is a bit of a jaunt. I can't comment on the value, cost wise, as I booked on points, but it was worth the 40k per night we got it at. We got upgraded to an ocean view room, which was fantastic! The view was amazing! Open the door at night and listen to the ocean. The room was nice looking and the bathroom was awesome. Great shower!

All in all, if you was wanting to stay at a Hilton in San Juan, this one is your best bet.

Room Tip: Obviously, the ocean view rooms are the best!

Our stay was very pleasant at this hotel. Hotel was very clean and we had a great time by the pool and beach area. Only negatives that I can recall was when we first check in one of the front desk ladies didn't seem to be very nice in the beginning and the carpet in the hallway can be updated. Victor our bellman was really nice and helpful and the servers at the restaurant for breakfast, which is excellent, was really nice and did a great job. We will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

Stay with Family, Bed are Horrible to sleep. To many noise from other rooms all night long. Pool are OK , kids enjoy pools and beach. Not good Security, many outsiders walk inside Hotel and pool area NOT GOOD for kids security. Service desk associates have no passion to serve. Location was excellent area. Many restaurants to eat inside and outside. First and last time visit.

This hotel is somewhat dated and tired. In my opinion, it is a sub-par-for-the-price hotel, which needs some serious attention in many areas. Given the price tag for the rooms here, I am assuming Hilton considers this a more luxurious offer from them. It's definitely not worthy of a $200+ price tag - and I shudder to think what their lower priced hotels in the Hilton chain must look like.

Some details:

There is a "near the sea" musty smell that permeates the air upon entering the basic lobby. The same smell also permeated our room. Others have written about this odor. It's time for Hilton to fix this.

The front desk staff is polite and helpful.

Our "family suite" had two twin beds near the entry, a bathroom in the middle and a king room near a tiny balcony. The closet, microwave and fridge are across from the bathroom. The layout is fine, in fact very useful for a family of four.

Sadly, our bed was "short sheeted" upon arrival. In fact, this was one of the worse made beds I have seen. We actually had to re-make the bed in order to lay in it.

The walls are in desperate need of repair and painting. "Dingy" is the best word to describe the feeling. Lighting was also inadequate - adding to a depressing feeling in the room.

Housekeeping is lacking. Our feet were blackened by the unclean tile floors. Worse, the bathroom sink was completely busted - which we did not discover until midnight when trying to brush our teeth for bed. Of course, this was not a pleasant find at that hour. (This also begs the question: How did housekeeping not discover this while cleaning - or did they not clean the sink using water?) We had to wait up for maintenance to arrive - at a time when we were completely exhausted and just wanted to sleep. I asked the maintenance man to remove his shoes (given the tile floors and that he was going to work in the bathroom). He had no idea what I was saying and walked right past me. Then, he proceeded to place a plunger on the sink right next to our toothbrushes. YUCK!!!

Adding insult to injury was a hole in our pillowcase and a safe that was locked before we arrived (requiring yet another call). The door lock was also not working properly, leaving us to rely on the lever lock for security. The internet regularly went in and out - making it impossible to remain online. Finally, the Zenith TVs underscore the cheapo feeling of this "resort" (with horrible cable reception).

What was most disappointing was a room down the hall that had a note on it which stated "For a good time, knock four times. No condom needed." I suspect this was just a teenage prank, but the note remained on the door for two solid days. I cannot imagine why hotel staff would not remove it. This note sparked quite a discussion with my young daughters. (I took a photo of it, if the management is interested after reading this review.)

None of this was life threatening stuff, but all added up to definite annoyances and were indicative of somewhat poorly trained housekeeping staff - and a poor overall quality to the hotel.

This Hilton appears to attract a mainly Puerto Rican crowd. We flew in from the states and found very few similar faces. This was neither good nor bad, just an observation. Our neighbors seemed to be constantly yelling loudly in Spanish - both late at night and early morning. Of course, this was not the hotel's fault.

The property is located on one end of the Condado strip. The location is bittersweet. It is walking distance to some restaurants and shops. However, the "family suites" are all located in a building facing a graffiti defaced abandoned building, which partially blocks an otherwise beautiful ocean (sea) view.

In sum, we felt like we were staying on the low end of the Las Vegas strip. Everything was very nearby, but there is a budget feel to this Hilton. We would not return to this - or probably any other Hilton property anytime soon.

By the way, the nearby La Concha hotel lobby was very inviting. If the lobby is indicative of the rooms, this is the place to stay in the Condado area. Also, the Vanderbilt looked wonderfully luxurious from the outside - and should be a gem when it opens.

Room Tip: "Family suites" are spacious with 1 king and 2 twin beds - but, only have city views, whic...

My girlfriends and me stayed at the Condado Plaza and it was a wonderful experience! The pool bar (although slow) had amazing mojitos. The pineapple was the best. The ambiance seemed to support our drinking and most guests were in their late 20s or thirties. Both pools were great, and having that additional beach was nice to tan, beach in itself is not to nice. Our only issue was when trying to upgrade, for some reason the front desk people kept putting it off and we never got the promised upgrade. But our room had a great view and was always clean and beautiful, the pools were awesome, and the hotel is in the best area! Close enough to Old San Juan and everything else in condado.
