My sister and I stayed here in November of 2012. We had a blast due to our own state of mind. The staff bend over backwards to please us. The in room decor was modernized with a touch of floral designed which faced the Atlantic ocean made it for a serene atmosphere. It hosted multiple restaurants and a gamblers' game room. Not a gambler so we didn't engage in that practice but from the looks of it peaking in we spotted a few tables as well as of course slot machines in the outer banks. The only draw back was our early morning schedule to see a doctor and the only restaurant open was Denny's...not a big fan to say the least...Anyway, would definitely stay here again. We have been to Puerto Rico many times and stayed in multiple hotels and such...This is one we feel comfortable enough to return to.

I have visited many Hilton Properties, and was more than pleased with my stay at the Conrad. For the price of the room, the value can't be beat. The staff here is more than willing to meet the needs of their guests. The rooms are beautiful and the the view is priceless!

Areas of the hotel appear to be a bit older, but I spoke with the manager who told me that they are undergoing a "facelift" over time. For example, the carpet in some of the main walkways has taken a beating. My room was beautiful though, and everything was so clean. The bathroom had a ton of counter space with a huge walk in shower!

There are a few restaurants in the hotel, and there is a really great Japanese sushi bar next to the Casino area. There was a lot going on during the weekend, ie: graduation parties, dance competitions, and other meetings. Due to this activity there was a lot of noise in the hallways at night. (I assume it was people coming in very late, but this was only on Friday and Saturday night.)

The beach area is small and open to the public, but there are beautiful fish and coral which make it perfect for snorkeling. The hotel does a great job of regulating the beach area and there is an attendant on hand to help with lawn chairs. There are 2 pools, one has a water-slide for the kids! The pool restaurant and bar have a great menu, but there was a lot of loud music. I prefer a more quiet environment, so I found a lounge chair near the rocks by the ocean. The breeze was relaxing and kept me from getting hot, and the ocean sounds were soothing.

The business center has many computers and copiers, I was surprised that they charge to print, but I'm sure this is to regulate the usage by their high volume of non-business travelers. I could have requested free printing and I'm sure they would have gladly helped.

With the casino, general deck and patio seating, 2 pools, multiple bars, beautiful ocean view, snorkeling, dancing, games for children, large lobby, and more... no matter where you are from, there really is something for everyone.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor to have a nicer view, and if you want to avoid the noises in the hallway, req...

Hotel has water on 3 sides, really. There are 2 hotel towers, one facing the ocean andvthe other a lagoon. View drom the ocean view room was wonderful. Each room has a balcony. Something like 4 pools. There is a small beach, but it is great because 1) there is some natural shade and 2)it is on a calm bay, with no dangerous currents, as in other San Juan beaches. we saw 3 kinds of tropical fish just a couple of feet from shore. I really dont know what people who give this place a low rating could be complaining about!
Car rental on site--- very convenient for day trips. Bus to Old San Juan is a few feet from the front door. Everything is lovely. Rented kayaks and paddle boats.

Room Tip: Get an Ocean view room!

If you enjoy waiting for elevators and freezing in subzero air-conditioning, this is the hotel for you! The constant digital dance floor music competing with the sound of ocean waves was a bonus. Straddling the toilet while getting out of the shower proved to be beneficial daily exercise. The staff was friendly. The food was good but high in carbs. The drinks were very expensive and the added fees were a fun surprise at the end.

I read all the reviews about this hotel and If people complained about this hotel, they should have stayed in one of those high-end resorts. First, the entire staff was quite friendly, knowing a little Spanish always helped, especially the check-in woman, Sara. She was awesome. Yes the area looks rundown, but if you were the original resort strip and most of the hotels left, this is what you get. If your not use to areas like this, you didn't do your homework. The room was very nice, a few little nitches but nothing that would ruin our vacation. We had a street view room and the noise wasn't that bad. Very good local food in the area but we already knew cause we did our homework. Read the the good review, cause the bad ones are mostly DIAMOND MEMBERS who expected perfect service, which there will never be. Unless you spend $200 a night. We love the whole trip, would do it again in a heart beat.

My stay here was ok. The staff was very friendly but the service was slow. I was a little disappointed about the room. It was a bit small. The walkway to the casino smells weird. I would say the best part about the hotel is the pool and the beach. Since there wasn't much wave, it was very peaceful to swim.

Well where do I start. We needed a hotel close to the cruise port. We stayed for two nights. I booked this hotel and saw that it has mixed reviews but I decided to take a chance anyway. When we arrived the staff was friendly and asked us how high we wanted to stay (we did the 9th floor city view). Now this is not the Conrad of New York - it's San Juan. The hotel was nicely appointed (a few small construction projects) and the room was clean. The only thing that was a problem was the bed (too soft for me since we sleep on a brick) but by the second night we adjusted. The shower was cool - all glass (no secrets). The sliding door did not lock but nine floors up who is coming in? If they were they deserve to get in.

We rode the bus into Old San Juan (about a 20 minute ride). .75 each direction (way cheaper than home).

The view of the beach was great and the hammocks were nice. The outdoor pools were small but that was ok.

We ate in the outdoor café and was pleasantly surprised except the pigeons keep begging!

When we checked out the concierge was very accommodating holding our bags until cruise boarding time.

I really enjoyed the hotel and I recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor and if you can get the ocean view it is worth it
