I hope they bring back the tour through the bottling plant, that was done away with about 8 year ago. The tour is still great but the would be an awesome added bonus.

I should have known better when the person who said it was interesting also recommended Señor Frog's. But our group thought maybe it would be interesting. It wasn't. The ferry ride was fine, but then we were met at the dock with a guy ushering us onto a van for "only" $3 per person. We tried to figure out how to walk, only to learn that it is several miles away. So, we sucked it up and paid. Once there we had to wait 30 minutes for the next tour and were given tickets for 2 free drinks each at the pleasant covered patio. That was fine, but the actual tour was a zero. A short talk about the founders inside a room, them a video about more history, then a new room that is a mock-up of a distillery and a talk about how to make drinks. It seemed to go on forever No views of the working distillery, too much time milling around boring exhibits, and lots of overt ads for how great Bacardi is. We couldn't wait to leave, except that it meant another $3 per person taxi back to the ferry. We were annoyed that we hadn't spent that time doing more strolling around the city, or visiting a museum.

The Bacardi Rum tour was another Free tour and included two free drinks with it!! Again, a rental car pays for itself in Puerto Rico because I believe it was like $55 pp to go with a tour company which is crazy when it's FREE!!!! The tour was great, and the film and distillary were pretty cool, gotta check it out while you are there!!!

The tour is free and interesting. Sort of like a guided tour as the tram take you around and then you get guided through the various stages of production. They make 100,000 gallons of rum here each day. Wow!

Best part of going to Bacardi was the free drinks. I was expecting a tour thru the actual factory rather than a history lesson on Bacardi. The only thing I would recommend that you hit the food trucks on the main road for lunch. You;ll experience food that you won't see in San Juan. Everything we ate was good.
