“Old San Juan”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

Enjoyed learning the history of San Juan and roaming through this historic structure. Admission was inexpensive and included visiting the other fort as well. Definitely don't miss this site when you visit.

“Must See”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

If you are in Old San Juan, you must go and see San Juan National Historic Site which consists of 2 places- El Morro and Castillo San Cristobal. We paid $5/person and the tour took most of the day. We split up the 2 places with a stop by our hotel and refreshments. You can take the free trolley between the 2 places but we enjoyed walking through Old San Juan. Stay away from the homes that are by the cemetery.

“Loved the forts !”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

Both the forts are great. My personal favorite was the first one. They charge a very minimal parking fee and visiting fee. There is a bus to take you from one fort to another. Great place to take some good pictures.Make sure to check the weather, carry an umbrella or a Poncho. It rains most of the times :)

“Best way to explore is to walk around”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

Now, I have read so many people advising against renting a car in PR, but we honestly didnt have any problems what so ever. Yes, they take the saying drinking and driving LITERALLY, but other than that our car was immensely helpful. Plus parking isnt that expensive in Old SJ and we just walked around everywhere from one street to the other. OLD SJ is perfect for you to get a dose of real PR as you will see evrything from people selling their crafts to major restaurants with live bands. Oh! and we also saw a pirate ship, couldnt take the tour since it was a little late but did take lots of pictures! Like I said in the heading, best way to explore Old SJ is to walk around :) And if you are lucky in your wanderings you will find the Butterfly People ;)

“Don't MIss”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

Self guided tours, very nice. There is a free open air shuttle that takes you around town and from one fort to the other.
