Beautiful, well maintained fort. Everything is well marked and explained. It is hot, hot, hot however, so bring your water bottles and take advantage of the free trolley. Beautiful views.

If you like to walk this is a place to visit. This fort is huge!! We enjoyed feeling the history of Old San Juan and you can almost imagine the soldiers running around trying to defend the island.

Went last week and the place is a great monument which takes you back in time. The fortress is next to the ocean and is beautiful. Lanscape around the fortress is clean and huge which gives plenty of space to get your kids to play with a kite, due to heavy winds, make a picnic or just sightseeing. Going with a tour is the way to go, because they take you to different areas and underground dungeons. For 5.00 bucks you get a piece of the island's history, can't beat this price.
