“Its just dirty pigeons”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2012

Do yourself a favor and skip this "attraction". You see dirty pigeons anywhere in the world! I'm not kidding, you will not see anything else other than dirty pigeons following people arround to get some food. It reminds me of the bird lady from Home Alone 2!

“Take Your Camera!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2012

The park overlooks the lagoon and part of the city's old fortress wall. There are so many pigeons here! There's one wall riddled with nooks and crannies where they nest. They also fly around from tree to tree and appreciate any crumbs you can offer. There's plenty of space to sit - just make sure a bird didn't leave "a souvenir" for you to sit on!

“Great opportunity for something new”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2012

My boys loved this place and I had a great photo opportunities. The view of the bay was beautiful from here, there was benches for the grands and the family enjoyed feeding the birds. Great for families and great free attraction. Then, we took the Trolly and went to El Morro.

“Don't feed the flying rats!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2012

The pigeons were brought by the spanish to feed their soldiers. They find their own food, reproduce rapidly and are a better source of protein than chickens. Unfortunately they have become a plague in Old San Juan and their nest building and excrement contribute to the decay of the historical buildings of this walled city. This park should have the pidgeons in a netted area and the rest should be humainly get rid off.

“Hilarity and a Great Photo Op”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2012

I am not a huge fan of palomas (pigeons), but this park was so much fun. Buy a small bag of corn when you enter the park and watchout! The birds swarm you like you're in a Hitchcock film. This is hilarious when it happens to your friends, less hilarious when it happens to you.

Stop by here while you're walking through Old San Juan, it's good cheap fun. Kids would love it!
