What a great walk along the street and to the sea! The Raices Fountain, depicting the various cultures that comprise Puerto Rico, was beautiful, the old buildings, freshly painted, and the cool breeze made it all a pleasant experience.

There are lots of food and PF craft vendors along this walkway. The statue at the end is very photogenic, especially at sunset. There are usually a lot of people there so getting shots of just the fountain can prove challenging.

If you walk up on the Mavi stand you have to try it. Very cold and refreshing. I had a few samplers from 3 of the food trucks plus a really good ice cream cone.

If you pull in on a cruise ship then this walk will be a welcome and convenient trip down Old San Juan.

the food was very good, the service excellent and the location perfect. the main strip was very busy and noisy and this was just down the road from it all, but still a short walk to public parking lot.

A lovely flat shaded walk suitable for all ages & ability; the view changes from old city walls to treelined street & beautifuly kept gated gardens with a Cafe/ Resterante under the Trees in a garden type seting-excelent!
When your ready stroll on to the water fountain & follow the path along the old wall to see beautiful harbour views & wonderful photo opertunitys with ancient trees & whatch towers high up along the walls, at the end (or begining depending on your view point) is the historic Gateway to old San Juan that many an ancient weary traveler entered the old city through!
Often has street vendors along the way so take your time & enjoy!
