The Hotel was clean and comfortable. The restaruants and bars were exceptionally expensive but the food was not exceptionally good. I was on a business trip. Unfortunately, the service for towels, wash cloths, and normal amenities were scarce. We had to call the front desk often after the room was "serviced" but left no towels, bathmats, or washcloths. Tips were "included" in our price although the service was never performed. The view from our window was across the bay looking toward the ocean - beautiful. Be prepared if you go! It is next to the convention center wtih nothing else around it but a view half a mile away.

Room Tip: All rooms had good views.

Dear Jflythe, we welcome comments and observations from our guests and utilize such valuable input to enhance our services. Certainly we apologize to you if you did not find the food to your liking. The Chef and the Restaurant manager continually review our Restaurant & Bar menus and dishes to look for opportunities to improve. The service issues you experienced with insufficient linen and terry in your room have been addressed and corected. Again, thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback, as it gives us the opportunity to improve and correct our service and property. Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for the unpleasant experience you had at our hotel. Warm regards,

If you are looking for a hotel near the sights - keep looking. We just returned from a 4-night stay, for a convention, at this Sheraton. The hotel was very nice and the room was exceptionally clean. If you want to go to old San Juan there is a bus system that picks up from the nearby convention center for only 75 cents, each way. The only disappointment was the cost of the food and drink but you have no where else to go.

The hotel was very overpriced for the service received. We stayed four nights and only received housekeeping once, and this was after we called to complain. When we finally received the bill, we were charged for four days of "tips" for housekeeping. A hot shower was hit or miss on most mornings. The view and pool were nice, but I wouldn't say it was worth the money. I was astounded to see that a breakfast in the hotel restaurant was $25, so we never ate there. This hotel is 3 out of five stars, but the housekeeping brought it down to two. Microwaves are $15/night and minifridge is $25/night.

Room Tip: Odd rooms face the pool and bay.

Dear George F, thank you sharing your concerns about your recent stay with us. We are very sorry to hear about your experience with the water tempereature in the shower and the lack of housekeeping service. We did review our housekeeping inspection process for guest rooms with our supervisors and room attendants to prevent these issues from happening in the future. In regards to our Food & Beverage offerings our chef and Restaurant Manager consistently review our Restaurant & Bar menus to ensure we are correctly priced in the market. Recently we have changed our breakfast, lunch and dinner menu at Choices Restaurant with new offerings and adjusted pricing. Also the other venues offerings have been changed. Once again, we truly apologize that your experience with us at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel and Casino was not a good one, but we invite you to give us another try. We greatly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us to improve and provide a better experience. Warm regards,

Stayed at the Sheraton in February 2012. The hotel is beautiful with a view of the convention center and cruise ships. You can see Old San Juan from the pool deck. The pool deck is huge with plenty of space to lounge. Beautiful infinity edge pool. Nice decor in the room, very clean. Overall this is a very comfortable hotel.
The con is that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There are no restaurants in walking distance, so you're stuck ordering room service or eating at the pool or at the hotel looby restaurant, Choices. There is a Texas de Brazil on the block with the hotel and a Ficus across the street. Don't eat at Ficus, bland Mexican food is a problem..Old San Juan is a hike from the hotel.

If you are traveling on business on a extended stay business trip, this hotel is comfortable and well maintained. The facility is beautiful with a very nice pool deck and nice HOT Jacuzzi. If you want a beach PR feel I would recommend elsewhere. The location is not the best. It truly is intended to facilitate convention goers. The taxis in PR are now charging you 15 dollars for a one minute cameo appearance. It costs the same to take a cab to old San Juan 5 minutes than taking a cab from the airport. This was unfortunate because the hotel is walking distance from NOTHING. Over all the staff in hotel very nice unlike elsewhere in PR where they have almost en entitlement mentality (taxi drivers) and give mediocre service and expect excellent tip. I would stay here again on a business trip but a bit spendy if you are trying to watch your expenses. I would recommend the embassy suites instead.

Room Tip: The rooms are all very nice. Not huge but perfect size.
