“Our one night in San Juan”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

My husband and I were looking for a good restaurant to have dinner at the one night we had in SJ, when we came across Yamato. It smelled so good from outside we thought we would give it a try. We were not overly hungry, so we started with some tempura and ended with some sushi. Both were very good and filling. I do understand the complaints about the service, as it took quite a while to get our check at the end of dinner. Overall, we were very pleased.

“Food”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

Really nice as usual. We enjoy the company of fellow travellers / guests around the table whilst the chef is preparing our food. Never had a bad meal here since they opened. Nice atmosphere as long as there are other guests at the table.

“Typical Hibachi”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

Our kids love hibachi so we went here. We are a family of four and they sat us with an older couple who were nice but it would have made more sense to sit us with other families. The waitress was quite grumpy and just did not seem to want to be there. Everytime she brought something she sighed or rolled her eyes. Was a bit rude. The menu is typical and the food was fine. Nothing special. The chef did nothing too exciting. Not much personality. Would not go back.

“Waiting”
Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

40 minutes do get a simple sushi, drinks are too expensive, service, what service?
No attention, no management, we just ask for the check, no food, the server rude. All wrong go to Momoyama next door.
By the way we left without tasting any food.
