A group of five of us stopped in to experience their "Beer Tour" with appetizers and thoroughly enjoyed the live music, food and beer! This is a unique German style micro-brewery with a fun and festive atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious and welcoming with a mid sized stage in the center and a moderate sized bar. We especially enjoyed tasting all of their micro-brews and the home-made sausage appetizers! The live musicians were fun and entertaining!

We are spoiled in St. Louis with over a dozen local craft breweries, so when we found out that San Juan had one-we just had to check it out. The stout was delicious, although it was more like a porter-it was very enjoyable.I also had their "coqui", which was a helles style lager- unfiltered and unpasteurized as well was yummy. The pale ale is also really nice- it is on the hoppier side. The pilsner was malty and good, but I didn't have a desire to drink a second one. We were only mildly disappointed that they were out of their seasonal brew.

The food was delicious. It was a little pricy- but the portions were nice. The bread they bring out is served with guava butter! I wanted to eat the butter once the bread was gone. Holy delicious! We tried the sampler of sides which had rice, beans, maduros and tostones- and that was too much food. We had been recommended the skirt steak "churrasco", and it was very tender and cooked perfectly med rare. I had a salad a well, and it was very good.

Our server was very attentive as well as friendly.

First, let me say that this place looks like the typical over-priced tourist trap. In fact, the restaurant was carefully developed by a family who were interested in providing outstanding beer, food, and service to the tourists. It is in fact a micro-brewery with its own proprietary brews, I believe six in all. It was also quite expensive, but that's to be expected owing to its location and the quality of the building and its interior.

It was a Friday night - and so loud you couldn't talk. Good live music though, Gypsy Kings cover band meets Oasis cover band. it actually was pretty good.

I had their beer sampler and their tempura. While the shrimp were big, they weren't especially flavorful. And the beer was just underwhelming as well. Pub food at its most basic.

That said, a large group may be interested in splitting a beer bong fill of their brew. Its lively and big, so can accommodate large parties.
