“A National Landmark Rainforest that takes us to another world”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Luquillo Beach, renowned for so very long, with its lovely run of palm trees may be some of the calmest baby blue water accessible anywhere in Puerto Rico and it's just a hop and skip from this second most impressive setting, an easy enough- two for one - day trip from San Juan well worth making. Here citizens of America, whether locally or mainland, have so much easier and accessible- our very own dense and daily glistening- rainforest which can compete on many levels with those of Carribean Islands, Central and South America.

The daily speed with which a bamboo tree grows is almost measurable, roughly akin to the movement of a watch's hour handle. When there's a breeze, the loud cracking echo of a whole bamboo forest is surprising and impressive. This dramatic rainforest feels like a jungle habitat that Johnny Weismuller, Buster Crabbe, Lex Barker and a whole host of other Tarzans could easily hunker down in waiting for their own version of Jane/Maureen O'Sullivan to come along and swim with under a waterfall or in a lagoon. A natural playground of wonder for adults and kids both.

“Wasn't Impressed”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Wasn't impressed with the water falls we saw. La Coca Mina falls was disappointing. I thought it would be a much more impressive water fall. The pool to swim in was not as big as I thought it would be. It rained like hell (It's a rain forest) but we enjoyed the hike. Don't bother paying $4.00 to go to the Visitor Center. Drive past it and on your right had side there is a Visitor Information Bulletin board.

“Awesome experience”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Awe inspiring is the only way to describe the forest. Beautiful trails and only short walks to amazing waterfalls to go swimming. Another fantastic part of the island of Puerto Rico!

This is a MUST-DO attraction when visiting the island.
