Our guide from the ship kept us quietly entertained during our travel from the ship. We were met by our guide for the caves. First on - hair net and hard hat. The caves have a historic interest for Jamaica during the slave years. Many slaves lived in the caves and used it as a refuge before escaping. We were advised that the caves had a commercial interest for a number of years and needed preservation repairs. Yes there are bats, snakes, hidden lake, and a wishing well. There is walking and climbing involved (not hard).
