We stayed four nights in the Sea Grape Hut and ate many meals there on site. Incredible! Relaxing and inviting--Warren is an amazing chef and created exceptional meals while we were there. I also want to give a special shout out to Dean Martin, a local taxi driver, who took our experience in Jamaica to another whole level. It would not have been the same without him. He is a generous and friendly gentleman with a deep love for Jamaica and its history. Dean provided us a perspective we would not have had--from stopping on the way from Kingston to introduce us to some local foods for lunch (I drank sorrel tea the whole time I was there!) to introducing us to dominoes (a Jamaican past time). As a result, I bought dominoes at the market in Port Antonio and my husband, daughter, and her boyfriend spent evenings in our Sea Grape hut playing dominoes as we looked out over the beautiful water!
So before you head to Great Huts get Dean Martin's contact information from the hotel and he will make your visit exceptional from start to finish.More
