we just got back from 5 nights stay in Polish Princess and can't thank Barbara enough for all she did for us! The rooms are very clean and the breakfast was amazing! Barbara went out her way to make our stay in Port Antonio comfortable and memorable. Her little daughter is amazingly friendly as well. My family (of 4) and i felt right at home! We stayed on the top floor 2 rooms with a huge balcony overlooking the green valley. we spent most of our morning and evening time there at the balcony with tables and chairs...make sure you request those two rooms! not sure about what to eat, which beach to go to, which gas station to use and where the bank is? let Barbara take care of those - she even took us to her tire shop to fix our tire with amazing price (we fixed our tire in Montego Bay for $J1000 but at Barbara's favorite shop, $J200!). One thing i would like to caution travelers though: please keep in mind, Jamaica is a developing country and Port Antonio is still an unspoiled beach community/village. There are no big shopping malls, fancy resorts/restaurants or well maintained high-ways... If you are looking for those modern life style and party scenes, please don't go there. But if you are looking for friendly people, laid back, safe and peaceful get away, PA is the place for you and so is Polish Princess Guest house. Thanks again Barbara for everything!

We stayed at Polish Princess Guest House in May 2012 and had a lovely experience thanks to Barbara's hospitality! We hope the following information/review is helpful:
- Location:The guest house is located 15min from downtown Port Antonio. After being dropped off by the route taxi, it is a 3min walk down a small lane to the guest house.
- Getting around: route taxis are $J100 each way into town or to local attractions, they travel very frequently.
- Guest House accommodations: Barbara prepared a great breakfast for us every morning! You are on your own for lunch/dinner (we usually took a cab to town or Boston Jerk Center for food and brought it back to eat). The room in the guest house was basic but was very clean, quiet and safe. There is wifi available. Barbara was an exceptional host, she drove us to get dinner at Boston Jerk Center on our first night and was always happy to provide us with drinks/plates/knives etc for our take out meals.
- Local attractions: Winnifred is a free beach is a 15min walk away from Barbara's through some local neighborhoods, it's great for snorkeling (definitely bring goggles, and do not step on the sea urchins). Blue Lagoon is also within walking distance. French Men's Cove is a $J80 ride up the road and so beautiful that we spent two days there, it is great for swimming/lounging about. Barbara helped us get a dedicated driver to Reach Falls which was amazing, really one of the most beautiful rivers/falls we have ever seen. There is also San San Beach nearby (although we did not have time to go).
- Food: just wanted to add that there is a delicious and affordable little restaurant called "Tip Top" in town, it is on the roof of a small building close to the Royal Mall. You can get a large serving of curry of the day with sides for $J300-400.

Discover a tropical paradise with a friendly , safe environment. Randy and I had all the amenities one really needs while away from home. The Breakfasts daily were off the charts compared to 5 star dining. The atmosphere was peaceful, tranquil and serene. Everything was super clean and well kept.
This is our 8th trip to Jamaica and one could not ask for a more personable and accomadating host and hostess for our 5 day stay. We drove to reach falls, frenchman's cove, blue lagoon and met a very knowledgable Maroon who taught us about many of the hollistic ways to live off their lands. The tropical plants and flowers in our room were drop dead gorgeous and we had a beautiful room with plenty of storage for our goods along with a well equiped private bathroom. This is a place where you can see and feel mother nature at her best!
The hummingbirds were plentiful and gorgeous. This is an excellent place to practice yoga and meditate, read, use your laptop with their wi-fi . Barbara and Denton made us feel like we were at our second home away from home and a very bubbly, intelligent couple with a how can I serve you attitude with gratitude.
Barbara and Denton Lang's little Polish Princess, Nicolletta was so much full of life and zest.
Their was a true Jamaican loving and peaceful spirit here away from our U.S. RATRACE lifestyle. A welcomed respite that will truely be cherished for the rest of our lives!!!

Room Tip: Any of their rooms is a terrific room and location. We loved the 3rd Floor where you could play game...

Barbara and Denton are very nice people who go out of their way to make you comfortable. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the meals are fantastic. The area is quiet, is within walking distance to the Blue Lagoon and Winnifred Beach. Denton took the time to walked us to this beach and introduced me to a local establishment where we bought our lunch and beverages. I would definitely go back there again.

At Barbara`s Polish Princess guest house we felt in love with area of Port Antonio. Nice and clean rooms, a greatful breakfast and a familär atmosphere, the loveley daughter Nicoletta painted a very nice picture for everbody. Her husband Denton made a walk tour with us to the near by greatful Winniefred beach. For sure we will come again to this nice place for a longer time than three days.
