Was made aware of this hotel from the news. It is easy to find and central to beaches and attractions. Easy walk to Portie and one can use route taxis to go to attractions at local rates. The surroundings are simple yet clean and the breakfasts are delicious. Those banana dumplings are great.

I missed a view of the sea though. accommodations were clean and staff were very accommodating and pleasant. No disturbing noises. These hotels should be advertised on local tv so locals can be aware of them.

Jamaican owned, Tim Bamboo Hotel will be my home away from home whenever I am in Port Antonio. I enjoyed every minute of my 11 night stay. The management and staff were friendly and professional. The highlight was having the pleasure of meeting the beautiful and gracious Ms. Tricia who made me feel most welcomed.

The food was excellent. They serve the best fried breadfruit I ever had. The entire property is immaculate and well maintained.

The villas are bright, roomy and furnished so lovely. I LOVED my room (see photos). The very spacious roof top patio is being renovated to accommodate weddings, barbeques, graduations and other social affairs.

I highly recommend Tim Bamboo Hotel for families and single female travelers like myself. Not once did I have any security concerns for myself or my belongings. There was always a staff member at the front desk no matter how late I came in.

All the down town action spots including a strawmarket, banks, night clubs, a mini mall, restaurants, the Pier and Marina are within walking distance. If you didn’t bring a computer, there is an internet café in the Royal Mall. The time charge is 100J per hour.

Room Tip: Call the hotel directly to make your reservations. Tell them what you desire and they will do all t...

Timbamboo is a little bit of paradise. It's an immaculate hotel with a friendly staff. Excellent location. You can walk to down town Port Antonio or east on the main road for a visit to the historical "Folly" Great House ruins. The ammenities are comfortable and really gives one a flavor of Jamaica. The service was friendly and they prepared first class Jamaican food. I love it and will certainly be back.

Staying at this hotel was an awesome experience, my husband and i were wowed by the location of the hotel first of all, the partially secluded environment, the view of the ocean, and the beautifully landscaped grounds. The hotel was clean, and spacious, we were treated with the utmost care and wonderful hospitality from the minute we arrived to our time of departure. Our room was beautiful, and again very very clean. On a scale of 1-10, i would rate the room that we stayed in 9.5, the other .5 percent is lost because of the location of the room, we did not get a good view of the ocean. The customer service was excellent, as we reached the door we were greeted with smiles as if they had been anticipating to meet us, we were treated like royalty. I especially loved how authentic it was, it is everything jamaican, from the bamboo furnitures to the hand crafted ornaments, it was just superb. The food was also great. Great Job Hotel Tim Bamboo, see you guys again very very soon. Mr. & Mrs. Holyfield.
