“Underwhelming”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

We heard it was a great place to swim, but the locals hanging around trying to talk you out of your money stopped that. The place has been closed for a while. If you've got someone to guard your stuff than you could swim, but don't pay anyone for anything.

“Really Cool!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

There was a small beach. The interesting thing was that the water changed temperature as you swam. One moment you would be chilled, and the next it was bathtub warm!

“nice place but not worth the price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013

The water was amazingly turquoise....and at the edge of the lagoon there was a mineral spring that was a massaging paradise. Our driver let us out at the mineral pool and said he would be back-ended up chatting with a friend of his and he totally forgot us-had to go looking for him for a ride back to the entrance. Anyway, the mineral spring was nice. There were small fish in the pool and they would bite. Those bites are good for you though. My dad had always told me that they bit off the germs and dead skin. It also had a tire swing. In the middle of the blue lagoon, there was a Tarzan swing on a fallen tree branch, where you could jump into the lagoon.
There were also steps to get back up. The driver drove us around the lagoon once and then stopped to point out every hotel and resort that was in their lagoon that they owned-and he told us the price of each one. It almost seemed as if he wanted to get us into renting one of them. And after our ride, plus the wait he apologized for, he charged us 5000 Jamaican dollars. After a long time, we finally coaxed him into 2000 Jamaican dollars.

“A Cool Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

We enjoyed Blue Lagoon and were glad to see it. It truly is a gorgeous body of water. It feels more like lake than ocean and isn't the best for snorkeling, but it's a must-see.
