“Awesome food”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

The beach and river were really nice but the service and food was great..we went there with nothing but a cooler and got waited on all the way at the other end of the beach from the restaurant by an awesome young man who brought over lounge chairs ($200JMD per person..about $2 US) and then set up a table and chairs with a white tablecloth and everything at sunset about ten feet from the waters edge..even though we were in our beach clothes!!.. the whole meal for four people..sixty dollars US..very cheap but he was so great the whole day I tipped him a hundred dollars..and the food was awesome as well..jerk chicken even better than the famous boston bay!!

“Beautiful”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Heaven on earth. Crystal clear waters, a fresh water stream running into the ocean that forms a lagoon, nice restaurant/cafe for food and cocktails on site, a botanical garden leading up to the beach.

“Our Favorite Beach”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

This is an intimate, but fabulous beach. The fresh river running into the cove is full of fish, so take a mask & snorkel! Food a bit pricey, but tastey. Small tour buses usually show up in the afternoon, but not too busy.

“Not to be missed”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

We initially visited from Hotel Mockingbird Hill for a day at the beach. This was clean, with sunbeds for hire. The sea was fun, as the clear cool water from the spring nearby mixed with the warm sea. On another visit we explored the grounds as a shower and breeze had made the sea too rough - a red flag was up. We had not realised how extensive the grounds were, or how good they were for birdwatching - we saw many endemics here.
