Hands down the most fun I had in Portland Parish. The falls are gorgeous, but not to be missed is the guided "hike (included in the ticket price). The hike is actually a swim upstream from the main falls, through caves and various freshwater pools. Our guide took our camera and managed to stay dry - he got some great shots of us exploring the pools, and also of the beautiful scenery. Truly the highlight of our trip.

Reach Falls is absolutely beautiful, you will feel like you are in the middle of the jungle. At the falls there is a deep pool that you can jump into from the top of the falls or a platform off to the side and some small caves to explore. After exploring the falls let one of the guides know you would like to hike to the cave. The first stop on what I thought was a pretty easy hike, is the heart shaped "jacuzzi", which is a large hole carved out in the rocks that looks like a heart with fast water flowing beneath it. Nothing too exciting but a nice photo opp. Next, after a 10 minute hike you come to a cave that your guide will help you climb down into and from there you will swim under the rocks and back out into the river. This was really cool!!

One note, the sign to Reach Falls is pretty small. If you are coming from Port Antonio keep a look out on the right after you pass the police station in Manchioneal and you won't miss it.

The Falls are really nice, just the road to get there, but once you finally get there it's all worth it.

We loved the falls although we arrived on a day when they were supposedly shut so we had to sneak in with Aston - a local guide and expert waterfall scrambler! I am so glad we did it this way. The kids got to leap off the falls into the water, we swam into caves and explored the area - then finished off with a steep climb and a jelly coconut. Excellent day :)

definatly beautifull trip. It wasn't as far as we expected worth to go. When you get there they will give you a tour guide who will take you around. Trust him and dont be scared he knows what he is doing.
