“The Rockhouse is going down hill...”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

We have been going to Negril once or twice a year since 2003 and we have always stopped at the Rockhouse for an elegant meal. We had reservations and the four of us were seated at a nice cliff side table. The Rockhouse was less than half full. After 5 plus minutes we stopped a passing waiter and asked if we could place a drink order. The waiter took our drink order (3 Stingrays and 1 Red Stripe) that eventually was brought out by a waitress. While she served us our drinks I asked if we could have some water and order an appetizer. The waitress took off, brought us our water and then asked what we wanted to order. I was tired of the attitude by then and asked for the bill. The waitress immediately brought the bill and as we finished our drinks and glasses of water she started clearing the table while we were sitting there. No offer to refill water or sell us another drink or maybe some food. The waitress made it clear that we were not welcome there. So, we went to Ahhhbees for supper.

“ROMANTIC dinner on the cliffs”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

most scenic restaurant and doing a lot of business, food is decent too and they move people in and out. dont be offended by the wait- they do a good job of getting everybody in... tough to park so take a taxi... love the waiting area in the big bamboo chairs couches and board games... sneak thorugh the property and take a look - its gorgeous....

“Good Food”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

There were four of us for dinner in our party. Each person had a different dish and all were good. We were all looking for something that was not "Jamaican". Service was friendly and responsive. One of our party has special food needs and the staff made sure that her needs were meet.
Prices for all dishes were moderate and worth what was charged. This is a great place to eat if you enjoy outdoor dining. My suggestion is to have drinks at Ricks, which is just down the road. Enjoy the cliff divers or dive yourself, then go and have a good meal and not pay prices that over the top.

“Great food and view at a good price!”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Stayed at an all-inclusive but went here one evening for dinner. If you call for reservations, the restaurant will send a van to pick you up for free. The return trip cost $12 which seemed very reasonable for a 15 minute drive. The food was delicious and the service was great. The sunset was absolutely amazing and it was very romantic. Dessert was very good too. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality of food. I had the blackened mahi mahi and my wife had a seafood stew. We shared the grilled calamari which was delicious as well. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

“Great Food at Fair prices”
Reviewed October 10, 2012 via mobile

Generally, it's hard to find great food in Jamaica and I can say that as picky eaters the food was definitely satisfying--not high end gourmet but good tasting food at fair prices. For breakfast, the porridge was terrific, the coconut chicken was perhaps one of my top 10 chicken meals ever-moist with an amazing coconut crust, the lentil burger unique and the fish was good. They need an expresso machine to get better coffee.
