Bloody Bay is beautiful, lots of BIG resorts on the sand. We stayed at Sunset at the Palms which has the only bit of beach that is not overpopulated. Just past us was an area with local vendors who set up every morning.
There is not a whole lot of swimming, the water is very shallow and if you plan on snorkling you better get on a boat, the water is clear but you dont have access to the reefs from the beach.

We love Bloody Bay. We've stayed on 7 Mile which is almost equally nice. But BB is quieter, calmer and you can walk the entire thing. Can't wait to go back!

The beach was great but the water...not so much. We found there were quite a few rocks and seaweed as well as a soft bottom fairly close to shore. We are water people and spend a lot of time in the water and on the beach when not on excursions. We walked over to the Palace beach and found they had much nicer water over there.

Nice beach and you could walk quite a way out? It did get mucky when you got out further. Vendors walk the beach at times but never bothered us. If they ask if you want something a simple no thank you and they are on their way.
