“Off the Beaten Path”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

We visited Half Moon Beach for lunch and relaxation and were not disappointed. We took a taxi from the cliffs which was kind of pricey but worth it. Make sure you have arranged for a ride back as there are few taxis driving by there. We had lunch in the restaurant which we loved. Jerk chicken was excellent - our favorite in Negril. When we arrived there were a few visitors on the beach, who I believe were staying there, but in a few minutes we had the entire beach to ourselves. Snorkeling was not very exciting but the water was lovely and the sunset beautiful. Hammocks and loungers on the beach were available for all and the dogs who live there really do just love chilling with you and watching the sunset. I highly recommend this for a off the beaten path mostly tourist-free trip. No vendors present, felt very safe. Very relaxing and worthwhile.

“Wonderful Beach”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

We visited Half Moon Beach just last Friday, we booked a catamaran and too our surprise we had it all too ourselves. Just 2 couples and one amazing trip. As you arrive in the cove it feels like you dream a Carribeen cove to look like. The owners are very welcoming and thank you for coming. We said Thanks for sharing you piece of heaven. We were served Rum Punch in the water. Had an excellent Lobster lunch. I loved the 2 little girls that live there. Also they have 5 very friendly dogs that will great you and swim with you. Excellent !!

“Lovely place!”
Reviewed December 15, 2013 via mobile

This beach is a wonderful little paradise! Tranquil and clean, great snorkeling and friendly dogs. There is an entrance fee of 5 US, but we didn't have to pay and it seems like they don't normally charge you. Nice bar/restaurant with decent prices.

“Get away from the crowd”

Blink and you miss the turn off, but its worth it if you find it. Nessled away is a quaint restaurant/bar and beach. We went for dinner and a bonfire. The owners are great and ensured we had a good time!

“Tiny Paradise”
Reviewed November 25, 2013 via mobile

This was the final stop on a snorkeling tour on a small catamaran. This beach is small and private and hidden away from the main sea, so it is calm.
There is snorkelling within the bay itself. Friendly dogs will great you. I think the entrance fee is $15. Nobody was there. Beach was georgeous. The have a bar and serve food. I had the chicken which was excellent and friends had the lobster. They loved it.
Our guide told us that this was being developed and cleaned up to an even more sparkling gem. A must stop destination.
