My husband and I stayed in the Sagi cottage at the end of April, having stayed at Rondel for the first part of our week.CFS is truly beautiful, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cottage was great, and the porch areas are bigger than they appear in pictures. The view is fantastic, and we had to laugh when people would come to Rick's to watch a sunset that we could see from our very own porch :) Our only complaint ( and it wasn't a huge deal) was not having air conditioning. It wasn't unbearable, but very uncomfortable. One night there was no breeze, and that made it a little hard to fall asleep. Any later in the season and it would have been rough. The Sagi cottage is closest to the water and you really can't beat the view! The bar was under construction when we were there, but they really worked pretty quietly and it wasn't an issue for us. The bar is right next to Sagi, so now that's it's open, I don't know if privacy would be an issue or not.

The grounds are truly amazing! Tons of photo ops all over the property. Our favorite day there was spent swimming, snorkeling, and sunning. There is a table with an umbrella on one of the sun decks that is right next to a chair to lay out in. We got out there that day around 8:00 to claim it. We even ate luch right there- Leroy's jerk from across the street. It was delicious and very convenient. We also had a great meal at LTU. Xtabi was very good but EXTREMELY slow service. I think they were short handed that night. Also tried 3 Dives, and Serious Chicken and they were both very good! Stopped at Pirate's Cave for a drink one day- really a fun place. One day we walked to the lighthouse and were blown away by the gorgeous view from the top! It's about a 10 min walk. I think it opens at 10:00.

All in all, our trip to CFS was even better than we had expected! The vibe at the cliffs is really cool, and we enjoyed splitting our time there, and the beach. You just can't go wrong with the Sagi cottage (except in the summer w/ no A/C) or CFS!

We always try to stay someplace new when we visit Jamaica. This time we spent a few nights at Alfred’s Ocean Palace on the beach (quite an experience) and 5 nights in the Sun room at Catcha.

Property and Staff:
The property is simply beautiful, with grounds well maintained by Bull, the gardener. A friendly staff and stunning views of the Caribbean Sea make the environment very pleasant and relaxing. The water in the coves is wonderfully clear and great for snorkeling. Floats, tubes, lifejackets (and I believe snorkel gear -we brought our own) are all available in bins near the water entry points. We saw dolphins on two days (mid afternoon, just outside cove). Due to the small size of the resort, there were times when we felt like the only couple there. We watched falling stars from the double size lounger each night. The serenity is a bit disturbed by all the construction going on in the complex. It is a little noisy at times, and looks like they will be building one thing or another for some time. A concern is that this build-out may eventually take away from some of the Catcha charm (Ivan’s bar is RIGHT next to Sagittarius cottage, for example).

Food:
While the on-site breakfast has a limited menu, the food is fresh and tasty. They also serve lunch. Two highly recommended off site restaurants within walking distance: Serious Chicken is a fun little roadside “Grill and Beer Joint”. Great prices, cool décor and friendly service, all at very reasonable prices. Heading the other direction (just on the other side of Rick’s) is LTU. Great food and tremendous views make for a romantic and affordable outing.

Other:
In fairness, I must state that we witnessed three couples in our five day stay that had reservation problems (some had to move to the property next door). Surprising for such a small resort. Just make sure to bring your confirmation number and everything will be irie! Would we go back … you betcha!!

We just got back from our 5 day stay at Catcha Falling Star.and the whole time we were there it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! The grounds were beautiful and very unique.
We stayed in Sagi cottage and really loved being on the water. We had a wrap around porch with a hammock, table, chairs and a wicker love seat. There were also two other decks. One with loungers to kick back at night with a drink and listen to the music playing at Rick's bar a couple doors down and another deck with a 180 degree horizon view of the caribbean sea.Actually we had that wonderful view from all decks. We were so glad we decided to stay on the water cause you get to hear the lapping of the waves all day and night.Music to my ears!
They also serve an excellent breakfast every morning.
This place is a gem and I reccommend it to anyone looking for a nice, quiet, peaceful place to stay in gorgeous surroundings.
