“Perfection”

As is the case with many other reviewers of this location - our visit was perfect. Our stay was made perfect by Mauvette and Andrea at the front desk and Carol, Vivianne and Jadeya (sp?) at Ivan's Restaurant and Bar. Mauvette and Carol especially made our visit extra special with the help and advice that they supplied. We LOVED: Star, the hammock, the day bed on the front porch with the amazing view, the outdoor shower, the gardens, the food and drinks at Ivan's (the jerk chicken penne pasta was the best), the tranquility of the grounds, and the proximity to the ocean - we really enjoyed swimming and snorkeling in the ocean. We certainly didn't want to leave. My husband and I enjoyed two days at Catcha by ourselves and then our friends joined us for the rest of the week. We were all there to celebrate the wedding of two very good friends. Everyone who went to the wedding stayed at Catcha and really, really enjoyed themselves. Thank you.

Room Tip: Our room was Star. It is two bedroom, one bath. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. There is...

I didn't know what to expect as this was my first international trip and it couldn't of been a better experience. Catcha' grounds are beautiful gardens with winding paths dotted with lounge chairs, umbrellas and hammocks. Think you wouldn't like a property on the cliffs because you want the beach? Think again. There are little nooks all along the cliffs with 2 lounge chairs and umbrellas giving you the feeling of seclusion. The staff is amazing and very friendly especially Carol who our group made fast friends with. I would encourage anyone visiting Jamaica to stay away from chain restaurants as there are many small Jamaican restaurants near Catcha' and I encourage anyone visiting to check them all out. They are all delicious and never had a bad meal the entire trip! The rooms were clean and the views were breath taking. You will not be disappointed staying here!!!!

It is a lovely property with beautiful gardens. There are lots of special spots tucked away for relaxing. It is very unique. We traveled with a group that stayed in a "high-end" resort down the road. We came out better and saved without feeling like we missed a thing. I would rather have an in-room massage on my veranda than in a cookie-cutter spa.

Thumbs-up for the food at Ivan's.

Room Tip: Two couples shared Aquarius. It still felt private, though we did share a bath. The kitchen was grea...

This review is almost a year late but that is just how memorable this hotel stay was. My friends and I were staying there for Jamaica's Independence weekend. Usually those who go to Jamaica for the first week of August would stay on Negril's strip to be closer to all of the events, but I am just so in love with this hotel that it is worth the few extra minutes and dollars. This was my second time staying at Catcha Falling Star and it only got better on this visit. The pool is complete, warm and beautiful with soft lights in the night, perfect for a late swim with your beau or reflection with your friends. The food was delicious and room service was prompt. The staff is AMAZING as they are friendly and happy to assist with anything that you would need. Ms. Mauvette knows the best off-site activities and connects you to the appropriate guide. This hotel gives any tourist the ability to experience real Jamaican living as the market is right across the street for you to purchase any local food you would like to cook in your room. I absolutely recommend this establishment but don't go on the first week of August because I will need a room ;-) .

This is a place that is our little gem and we don't want you to know about it because we want to keep it all to ourselves. But, because we love it so much, we shouldn't keep other's from it. The food is amazing, the staff are amazing, the accommodations are amazing. We visit every year but if we could, we'd visit more than once a year. And we'd stay forever.

My wife and I stayed a Catcha for 3 nights prior to heading to the beach for 8 nights. While we remain beach people, Catcha was a great introduction to cliff living. We stayed in Gemini II, a wonderful little home-away-from-home, albeit a little small. We had rain a couple of days and not having a porch or covered place to sit outside was a little hassle, we tended to meander down to Ivan's bar and converse with staff, other guests and at night - locals who stopped by for a drink after work. The food is excellent and reasonable priced. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Sneak out and see some of the local shops/restaurants. Dr. Quality and Fay have wonderful wood carvings, heads, masks, walking sticks, paintings, jewelry and we spendt a good 45 minutes to an hours just chatting with Fay. Head down to Le Bar for some fantastic jerk chicken and fun people... it's a bit of a walk, but certainly manageable, just be careful walking on the road. This is my view, celebrating 40 years of Negril... we're fortunate we chose Catcha for our cliff stay, and if we decide on the cliffs again, Catcha will be our spot, maybe in a different room. As I mentioned, we tend to be beach people... but you will not be disappointed with Catcha.

My wife and I were invited to a wedding at Catch a Falling Star resort. The resort did not disappoint! Great location on the cliffs of Negril, awesome view and very relaxing. Ivan's bar and restaurant on site was superb. Great jerk chicken and burgers. Our room, the Aquarius, was comfortable, clean and had the best view of the Caribbean. The staff was polite and attentive, many new us by name after a day or so. I recommend this place highly.
